  1. Fantastic, well researched and thought provoking review. Just one of the reasons why SkillUp is one of the best channels on YouTube. Keep up the great work and look forward to your content.

  2. I played this game sure you get some options and that's it the way the game was advertised was much different than what we got like how CP 2077 was promoted and what we got. You don't play David Cage games David Cage games play you.

  3. Before people think I'm hating I'm not I agree with much of this review and I only don't agree because this game doesn't push video games as a whole in a progressive way forward. I really think this video is a good work of art like how good of art the game is all the bad ideas are from David Cage and his lack of ability to come up with new styles of gameplay. I forgot to add one of the robots had a robot heart and it made this game, even more, cringe that robots are things and will never be human with self-thought.

  4. Read theEemperor's New Mind by Roger Penrose, Turing machines, computers operate on allgorythms, nmathematical equations, can a mathematical operation be conscious? There's little doubt machines will pas the turing test however

  5. There is nothing in this narrative about how humans feel about being REPLACED and by things that might possibly be artificially stronger, smarter and prettier than us. A certain amount of jealousy is inevitable, as the androids are strong without needing to work out, smart without needing to tend to their education and beautiful with no need to worry about maintaining their appearance. An example of this later is Kara with her hair coloring. Since labor is an integral part of our society and our self image as well as our financial stability, I feel this story is missing the "other side" so completely as to be really irritating, at least to me.
Before I go, Alice NEVER eats once… nobody but ME seems to ever notice this? She complains that she is hot and cold, but Kara or Connor never do. What happened to all the dinners made for Alice for the years Kara was their housekeeper, did Todd just eat them himself?

  6. The first three minutes and 45 seconds of this video are just poetry. Some of this guys stuff is just SO GOOD, I almost feel bad that it’s being used primarily to review video games.

Shill Up should probably be writing presidential speeches…. Using that mastery of the language to cast spells over entire nations or something. Not many people on this platform can weave the spoken word quite like this

  7. I thought for sure Skill Up would hate this (because it is terrible). Huh, weird.

  8. My only issue with the game is Markus’ story. Out of all characters I found his story the least interesting and not as powerful as Connor’s or Kara’s stories. Markus has the most predictable story arc, and his whole “savior” role just feels boring. It was only around chapters such as “The Stratford Tower” and “Capitol Park” that I got interested at all.

  9. Finally got around to playing this after getting a PS5. So far I’m really impressed. I’ve never played a game so close to a truly interactive movie.

  10. Everyone should enjoy things and like things they see fit ands this goes with this too, but I always found this one had always a very icky feeling to it, even when I tried not considering the past with David Cage. I found "Mother's Basement" made a great video putting that icky feeling into words. Even if things like the opening is very well made by the Dev team it points out how de-sensitive the writing by David Cage is in that Game. This is not meant as an Ad or a critique at you, I love your Videos and opinions, I just think that would be a very interesting Video for you.

  11. That reconstruction is straight out of arkham knight. Literally the exact same thing in name looks and all.

  12. Finished my first play-through last night…damn, I loved near enough everything about this game. Definitely worthy of multiple play-throughs, like you've mentioned. I really hope we see even more of this blend of story and choice making in the future.

  13. One of the best games I have ever played … If not the best.

The level of investment in every choice, in every fight, and escape … it was huge. Even though I got a bad and sad ending which I possibly could have avoided. That is part of life and making decisions with unforseeable consequences, for good or wrong. That is why this game is so great.

PS: After finishing the game I let Chloe go … it felt like the right thing to do.

  14. Just started playing this. The father son scene wasn't as bad as you made it. I thought the key to that scene was how he felt like the dad cared more about the android than his own human son.
