  1. So Ganon awoke because Link and Zelda drew near him in the cave. Previous titles have shown that this happens. The Goddesses sacrificed themselves and the secrets of their battle against Ganon were occult from normal Hyrule folk, lost to time.

All I'm saying is none of this would have happened if Link didn't crossdress to enter Gerudo Town, where he saved Urbosa and also found the secret of Ganondorf's origins.

  2. At first I’m like wait what but as the video went on this makes so much sense

  3. I'll be interested to see how well this video ages once more about the game is known. Personally I think it would be really cool to have the game look into the mystery of the secret 8th statue, but just statistically speaking most speculation done with this little amount of information ends up being off. I think it is more likely the 7 crystals are related to the 7 sages than the 7 heroines.

  4. This was my thought too. I’ve seen a few ideas that the floating person is linked to Gannondorf being sealed in the first trailers but it looked more like when Agahnim transported Zelda to the dark world in A Link to the Past. So I think the floating one is potentially the 8th heroine being removed/sacrificed/whatever in a ceremony parallel to Gannondorf’s sealing

  5. Red (malice) represents power, blue (technology/sheikah stuff) represents wisdom, green represents courage. Like the courage Link has by jumping of flying islands and such. This will play a big role in the game.

Furthermore, Link opening that door in the beginning of the trailer, with those serpents, represents breaking the curse of Demise.

The mural with Zelda falling, is a prophecy. Predicting that "a" Zelda will fall in a dark pit, like we saw in the first trailer.

That mysterious creature from the stone carving, surrounded by those tears is Demise. In the later carving, he is seen with Zelda/Hylia Their hands are forming a circle, symbolizing the eternal curse.

Link and Zelda will discover these carvings, while going to check the caves under Hyrule Castle. After they notice that malice is still coming from underneath the castle.

    That's my theory 😙

  6. I personally believe that both the zonai and twili are related somehow, as there is a zonai relic that looks like the twilight mirror (looks like it, but they are mirror and relic aren't the same thing). And after looking at a reddit post suggesting that the figure in the stone carving in the trailer is Midna, I just realized that the magic is suspicious a greenish-blue color, a color that the twili is also associated with. And someone from the same reddit post also pointed out that the other half of the master sword (that is broken) is replaced by a blade that is also the same greenish-blue. I didn't really think much of it until after seeing that post.

  7. i really only care about the world and exploration

  8. I really like your idea of this theory, it sounds cool and has a lot of potential! Great Video!

  9. This isn't BotW 2, this is the parallel BotW which happens after the age of calamity events

  10. I have to say that this is my favorite theory for the new game! The seven heroines are one of my favorite bits about botw, so if they play a major role in the new game it'll be amazing!!

  11. I'm so high but imagine a game akin to Majora's Mask in dark and spooky aesthetic theme of sorts, but you play in the mind of the Link (BotW) that's in the 100 year slumber?

He constantly fights Ganon in his mind and always loses but learns different patterns and techniques until he manages to win then boom, BotW starts. 🤯

  12. The new trailer was great – very subtle but filled with tiny details. I love your theory, but I'm not really seeing the time travel element for Link. The Hyrule in which we now see Link is not really any different than the BotW Hyrule. It seems more like only a few years (at most) have passed. The aerial views really seem to give a lot away. The geography seems completely unchanged; the horse stables are present; there are windmills in the mountain valleys.

I do see the time manipulation effects across the various trailers (and seeded in the Stasis rune of BotW); but it also seems like the scale is limited in the same way that the stasis rune was limited. That "magic" is colored very specifically too… though, I'm not sure why.

The strange figure carved into the wall is definitely the key, which is probably why it is masked a covered in ceremonial robes to obscure its form. In regard to the seven symbols encircling it, I am curious why you immediately jumped to the Seven heroines over the missing seven sages? And how do the seven heroines relate to a great sadness that would represent "tears of the kingdom"?

I'm just curious as I am also brainstorming over all the new little details. I am truly excited to have a title and release date.

  13. Haven't even watched the video yet but I personal think it's Faror or connected to Faror

  14. At this big mystereous being in the midle of the tears, you can see that both her eyes have the sheikah thing (that 3 dots of the sheikah symbol), i dont think its just a coinsidense, cause its really identical, there is the eye, the 3 dots, and the only part of the sheikah symbol that its missing is that TEAR like thing, a TEAR the exacly thing pointed in the games name, which is very suspicious.

  15. Actually what u said combined with the picture makes me think the circles represent the 7 heroines combining into the center character, possibly, and the way they are all circled in the desert monument represents this same event

  16. Since the first trailer, I always thought sealing Ganondorf away beneath Hyrule castle was an attempt (by the Sages or royal family or whoever) to keep the cycle from repeating. If they killed him, he’d just be reincarnated in 100 years or so. However, it failed because Demise’s curse couldn’t be stopped, and malice continued leaking out of Ganondorf. Now, every 10,000 years enough malice had leaked and built up and the spirit of Ganondorf controls it—becoming Calamity Ganon and bursting forth from Hyrule Castle.
So, I think awakening Ganondorf in this game (if not an accident) to defeat him once and for all is the goal of this game. However, I don’t know what the plan would be since if he is killed he will just reincarnate faster than 10K years.
Additionally, that would mean that Ganondorf has been a tortured soul locked away down there for multiple 10,000s of years for Calamity Ganon to become a recurring legend by the events of BOTW. So I almost feel bad for him if that’s the case lol

  17. your approach on politics is making you lose your fan base. One thing i learned is never share politics when you’re trying to be a creator unless you start off that way

on another note this theory video was GREAT. greater than i thought itll be. i also theorized those were the 8 heroines, but i also theorized that those 7 tears are sages and so is that vah naboris looking entity. i still think that person/female is the 8th sage/heroine, but i feel like gerudo could make it as heroines instead of sages. maybe as time went on history was lost and they thought it was heroines since gerudo culture is all female?

your take on the snakes eating each others tails was brilliant

  18. If we gain powers from the eight heroines like we did from the champions, maybe the new thing hanging from links belt in the trailer with 8 slots could be something to hold them physically? Idk if that makes sense but it popped into my head when you were talking about that idea

  19. My theory is that the Zonai are actually what we've thought of as the Darknut enemy. They lived on the surface of Hyrule prior to Skyloft falling to the Earth. They were pushed out by the Hylians, whose Champion they assisted in destroying Demise, and as such swore fealty to Ganon in a kind of petty revenge.

The logo for ToTK is that of the Ouruboros, a classic symbol in alchemy. It's commonly used to represent events that occur cyclically. So… What if not all of the Zonai didn't stay loyal to Demise?

To the northmost reaches of Hyrule, there exists a massive ravine. Let's call this the Moat. The moat is in fact a mountain that the Goddess sunk, creating a barrier that would stop the Zonai from not only returning to Hyrule, but to ensure that Hyrule's history would be rid of any reference to them. The Moat separated the Zonai from Hyrule after they assisted Demise enact his plan to reincarnate postmortem, with the Northmost Side being a wasteland, inhospitable for most. Here, the Zonai are not helping Ganon, but rather are building their own little villages, just struggling to survive. The Calamity affected the Zonai, causing some to lose their minds very much in a Lovecraft sort of way. These helpless souls are molded, formed into pathetic imps and ghouls, all to serve the will of Gannon.

The Zonai, like the Gorons, Zora and Rito, are distinctly humanoid in appearance. However, they have distinctive mammalian features. We can see this in Wind Waker, where the Zonai/Darknuts are very clearly jackal-like in the shapes of their heads. They were omnivores, but looked to meat as a major preference, and as such formed bands of hunters whom would hunt creatures as large as Moldugas, and create unique cuisines from the meat of creatures such as Like-Like and Octoroks. In the post-Calamity era, some have even turned to cooking the bodies of Bokoblins and Moblins, however this is looked at as distateful.

So, Link might be able to heal these old wounds left by the first Hylians. The Zonai opposed Gannon once, so perhaps they could (with Link's help) do so again. To break the cycle before it begins.

  20. I swear to God if that goddess' name is Majora, the eyes, THOSE FRICKEN EYES

    …. Or Midna Bae's comeback?

  21. It's a boy. I can't explain how I know, if I do… well, ninjas will come for me and career destroyed. I'll be back after the game releases to show you guys I was righr. Have fun waiting till early next year lol. I wonder why ganon is in the same exact position as zelda in the cave paintings…

  22. That would explain why the characters that form in the air at the beginning of the 2019 teaser seem to be from the Gerudo alphabet. It may be an older dialect of Gerudo written language.
