In today’s short I talk about Cynthia using Dynamax against Ash in Masters 8 of Pokemon Journeys!
Pokémon Journeys: The Series is the eighth part of the anime series. It features all of the regions from the main-series games, including the Generation VIII games Pokémon Sword and Shield. This series shares its Japanese name with the original series when the anime first premiered in 1997, and is officially labeled with “2019”, the year this series started in, for disambiguation. This new series focuses on the two protagonists Ash Ketchum and Goh, along with their partners Pikachu and Cinderace. It also features a young girl named Koharu (Chloe), who has a Yamper, and her father, Professor Sakuragi (Cerise), who runs a laboratory in Vermilion City. It features all the regions that have appeared in the Pokémon games, from Kanto to Galar. Pokémon from each region will also appear while Ash is pursing Leon in the Pokemon World Coronation Series (PWC) and Goh is chasing his dream in Project Mew.

I was hyped for Mega Lucario vs Mega Garchomp. If the Dynamax Togekiss does happen, Ash vs Cynthia will be ruined

No this is not gonna happen this is dumb it’s mega guarchomp versus mega Lucario if they were to go with this they piss off the fans even more and with this battle they’re trying to do the opposite and I think they have been doing the opposite so far
Even if Garchomp doesn’t mega evolve, ITS STILL GARCHOMP!!! That thing literally wrecks things with very little issues so it doesn’t really need a power boost. Plus just because you mega evolve doesn’t mean it’s a automatic win. I mean Pikachu in XY literally fought a mega Lucario without its signature Z-Move so that’s saying something.

The source isn’t very trustworthy so please take it with a grain of salt.
Even if it is true, this move is likely strategic on Cynthia’s part. Taking Togekiss’s typing and possible moves into account, plus the opponents, it makes sense why she’d do this instead of Mega Evolving Garchomp (who gets a lot slower upon Mega Evolving and is therefor usually a little worse).
I generally don't mind Mega Garchomp vs Mega Lucario. But I'm also quite interested in Mega Lucario vs Dynamax Togekiss.
If this happens, I’m calling Journey’s the worst show in Pokémon history.

@InfamousTrainer Nah I'm thinking if it's true and Cynthia is using Dynamax Togekiss it would mean 2 things:
1. The writers wanted both Semi-Final matchups to be Dynamax Vs Mega Evolution showdowns
2. The writers would be confirming that Lucario is the Dynamax killer
