1v1 Amuro beats Ramba Ral, and they discover who each other are. Ramba Ral flees his Gouf mobile suit and tells Amuro that only because Gundam is so strong that he was able to win. Amuro calls him a sore loser.
Ramba Ral requests aid from M’Quve but is denied new mobile suits.
Amuro is locked up inside a jail cell aboard White Base for stealing the Gundam without permission. Amuro tries to explain to Bright that the crew needs him to pilot Gundam or they’ll lose their lives. An alarm sounds across White Base. Ramba Ral has attacked without a mobile suit. Using his transport vessel (Gallop) as a distraction, he and his men aboard the White Base on foot with guns. On Ryu’s advice you’re freed from your cell to help. Take your gun and go!

Ramba Ral recognizes Sayla as Char’s sister and tells her about how he used to walk for her family. Seeing Ramba Ral and Sayla so close, Ryu shoots him in her defense. With no where else to go, the injured Ramba Ral commits suicide in a kamikaze attempt to blow himself up with Gundam. Gundam, however, receives no damage.
Things are looking bad for Ryu as he was shot in the firefight. Ramba Ral’s girlfriend Crowley plans a new attack that will overwhelm Gundam. She will try to ram White Base with her Gallop and if Amuro tries to stop it, he’ll be vulnerable to other attacks. Amuro needs help, but his best source of help is wounded. What can Ryu do?
