I don’t like this whole “getting older” thing because when I look at Modern Warfare 2 and realize that it’s over 12 years old at this point, that messes me up. From day 1, Modern Warfare 2 made some cultural impacts in the gaming space, but moreover, set the course for what would be the most popular FPS franchise in history. Modern Warfare 2 was the stepping stone that for many would also be the crown jewel of the Call of Duty franchise. Today we’re going to be returning to what made this game great, why it’s considered the best by so many and a little of what it’s like here today, in 2022. If you have anything you’d like to add to the discussion for our revisiting of the classic, feel free to drop your fondest memories of Modern Warfare 2 and or what you thought of it.
