Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 / Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 were confirmed in the strangest way possible… In a round table discussion with developers… but also with nothing on the public end of things to confirm it? Sounds so weird to say (or type) because even I’m in disbelief still that this happened. The ultimate “Dude, trust me” play, right? Anyways… In a discussion with Warzone leadership including Pat Kelly, studio head at Infinity Ward, myself and around 90 other creators spanning streamers, YouTubers, and general gaming press were told the upcoming plans for Warzone Season 2 and beyond. Some of these things will be covered in another video here on the channel talking about the immediate and more detailed changes coming, but in talking about the future of Warzone, both Modern Warfare 2 / Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 were confirmed by Infinity Ward. It was a scenario of the weird tie in, where in order to talk about the future of one, you have to reveal the other. Now, full disclosure, not as many details were given as we may have hoped. We didn’t get campaign, multiplayer, DMZ intel or anything like that but instead a top down level of “this is what you can partially expect to see out of Warzone’s future when Modern Warfare 2 / Modern Warfare II comes into the fold”. So… A lot to look forward to, the Modern Warfare 2 / Modern Warfare II reveal is probably still a few months away, but for now… Let’s talk about what we learned behind the scenes in a chat with Infinity Ward.
