昨年、ティーンエイジャーのダイエットや摂食障害、恋愛にまつわる苦い体験をユーモラスかつ鮮やかに描いた“Consume Me”が最優秀賞を獲得したインディーゲームの祭典“Independent Games Festival”ですが、本日Informa techが今年で28回目の開催を迎える「2026 Independent Games Festival Awards」の部門別ファイナリストをアナウンス。“QWOP”や壺男ゲーム“Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy”のクリエイターBennett Foddy氏と“Ape Out”を生んだGabe Cuzzillo氏が開発を手がけた独創的なウォーキングシム「Baby Steps」が最優秀賞“Seumas McNally Grand Prize”や“Nuovo Award”を含む5部門に選出され、最多ノミネートを果たしたことが明らかになりました。
Analgesic Productionsが開発を手がけた人気3Dアクションアドベンチャー「Angeline Era」とYACHTのメンバーが参加したPanicのアバンギャルドなFMVテレビシム「Blippo+」、SteamとEpic Gamesストアにおける販売禁止措置により検閲の議論を巻き起こすこととなった伊Santa Ragioneのホラーアドベンチャー「HORSES」（※ GOGとitch.io、Humbleにて購入可能）、AP Thomsonのシュルレアリスティックな新作ストラテジー「Titanium Court」、人気アドベンチャー“Perfect Tides”の続編となるポイント＆クリック型アドベンチャー「Perfect Tides: Station to Station」（1月23日発売予定）が最優秀賞に選出された今年の部門別ノミネート作品のラインアップは以下からご確認下さい。
