Race Highlights | 2025 Dutch Grand Prix

Welcome back to the Formula 1 World Championship in 2025. Today we resume the battle for the title at Xanvort. The show resumes in five lights time. The Dutch Grand Prix is underway. Oscar Pastri is looking across at his teammate and he does cut across. Pastry holds the lead. Max Stapen sweeps around the outside of one McLaren. It won’t be too because Pastry had to give him the chop and that allows Lando Norris to fight back to second place or does it around the outside and nearly dropping the car. Max Vappard went all in to take P2 and he got it. That is what hunger looks like. He was not going to give it up. We’ll send it to turn seven. High speed stuff all the time. Can Norris get back that place? It looked like he’d reclaimed it. They were swapping the positions. Poor launch off the line for Lando. Gave Maxisappen the chance. He went around the outside. Pastry defended from him and then he very nearly spun on the opening tour. Up a place goes Maxappen. Down a place goes Lando Norris. And a big moment with Pastry chopping across Lando Norris and Vstappen sending it around the outside. It tells you something about his mentality. He wasn’t going, “Okay, I’m happy that I’ve got one place.” He was instinctively thinking, “I’m going to take it around the outside.” And look at that catch. Few, if any, could have held that. Almost like something you’d expect to see in the F1 movie. It’s just incredible. So, we’re expecting this range to be light initially, but will last 7 to 10 laps. Around the outside, trying the move, pulling the move off that he needed if he was going to be a contender to win this Grand Prix. Lando Norris at the first time of asking takes back the place. I haven’t seen Max passed around the outside too many times in my life. So, uh, very, very good commitment there from Lando. Charlotte Clair comes for new rubber in the pit lane. Yeah, it is just that light rain. It’s still falling, but it’s not enough now. And I think the teams are getting more confidence that it’s going to pass without significantly dampening the track. Lewis Hamilton is off the road and out of the race. Coming out of turn three, the light rain falling and the seventime world champion has found the barriers. Yeah, you can see on the camera gets through the right. Well, oh. Oh, that’s so frustrating. It was so late in the corner as the load had built, gets out wide, corrects, and then just ran out of road. Are you okay? Yeah. So, sorry guys. As we go racing again, the green flag flies at Xanvort circuit. Looks like a nice run for the Williams. Was that Carlos signs there on the back of Liam Lawson as well? George Russell’s looking to the inside. Not able to get past Isaac Haja. Yeah, that was clever of Oscar. He was, you know, you you’re trying to second guess when he’s going to go. He can take it all the way through the final corner, but he came off kind of went as if he was going middle track as if and there’s a problem. Was a contact between Lawson and SCS because they were fighting over the positions into the first turn and they’re dropping down. They had a great run. Science had a brilliant run on the banking, but that has cost them both a chance of points. Carlos signs here in the slipstream racing of course as you’re going to think about the outside line and then have the right line just the tiniest of touches. We do get a penalty as 10 seconds I will say at the pit stop. Who gets a penalty? Me. You get? Are you joking? You’re joking. I mean, he’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard in my life. And we always get a battle on the resumption of a virtual safety car because it’s reaction times. Shalllair trying to go around the outside. Can they make it through? They bang wheels and barging through is Shaol Clair. Wow, that was all in. There was nowhere for him to go once he’d committed. That is as old school a move as you get. I cannot believe he stayed vaguely on the track and trying to come back is George Russell. He’ll try and send it around the outside. The Ferrari chops off that route. That gap was always going to close and the Ferrari opportunistic move gets by. Russell will be raging. He’s got so much work to do from this far back. No way. Round the outside. Holds it. Yeah. 11. He doesn’t have to stay. He can’t complete. He can off track surely. A driver who’s been low on confidence. Kimmy Antonelli with a late lunge and seventh place. Kimmy Antonelli comes in, gives up that track position and takes on the soft tires for the final stint of the Grand Prix. Left hand side of your screen is Anteneelli in your main picture. The pit stop for Charlotte and Ferrari. They’re also taking on the soft tires for the end of the Grand Prix. So, let’s throw it forward. What does Hajar do now? Does Hajar now have to pit? And this all this domino effect is going to change things for that podium fight. It’s a slow exit of the pit lane, but the Ferrari team and Charlotte cover off Antonelli. Antonelli’s tires are up to the working range. Oh, he hits him. Kimmy Antonelli into the side of Charlotte. The Mercedes and the Ferrari make contact and both Ferraris having drama at turn three. The safety car is out again at Xanvort. So, as we expected, it’s a 10-second penalty for Kimmy Anteneelli. Double yellow where you are. Double yellow where you are. Oh my god, man. I could not see him at all. Yeah, you you saved me there, man. It’s okay. The top two drivers in the world championship about to do battle for Stafen putting the pressure on on the soft tires as well. We go racing at the end of the Dutch Grand Prix. Lando Norris got the response that he needed and they’re fighting further back, but the top three in the same positions. Look at the launch off the corner. Maxappen gets on that soft rubber, but it is still third position for the driver that we’re riding on board with at the moment. This is going to be key for the points. Ollie BM has got the better grip. He’s got the inside line and he is going to have eighth position. Beman returning to the points for the first time since the Bahrain Grand Prix in the Grand Prix format. There is smoke. Lando Norris has a problem. Yeah, I think I don’t know if I’m on fire or not. It doesn’t smell good. Smoke in the cockpit. Okay, we check it. Lando Norris is retiring from the Dutch Grand Prix. A huge moment in the world championship and it’s Pastri for Stappen. And on for his first podium in Formula 1 is Isaac Haja. He’s on his way to tie the win tally of his mentor Mark Weber. It’s a decisive day in the championship battle. Oscar Pastri wins the Dutch Grand Prix to extend his lead in the Formula 1 world championship. It’s second place for Max Staffen. Another home podium. But what a sentence this is. Isaac Hajar, you are P3. And he started his Formula 1 career in the barriers on the formation lap. Race 15. He is heading to the podium. It was cruel on Lando Norris, but the opportunity arose for Isaac Hajar. Max Vstappen delighting the home crowd again. And after a last gasp improvement in qualifying, it is pole to the win for Oscar Pastri. A win for him and McLaren.

  1. There was a scene when both Lando and Charles were sitting on grass after their DNF watching race. lol. 😂

  2. We need more banked corners in F1. Just gives more driving lines and unsettles the car more if drivers don't get it right.

QUESTION: Is this this the first time in F1 history we've had 2 rookies make it to the podium in a single season?

  3. Once again, no replays for Alex Albon’s incredible lap 1 where he overtook 5 cars. Give the man his flowers 💐 flawless race when others were popping off!

  4. I think Lando will be on his last PU at Monza. Needs it to last the next 9 races otherwise he'll cop a grid penalty

  5. Max’s one last ride home was crazy. Truly worthy of being a champion, out doing a McClaren. Isack’s amazing drive today, the best rookie.

  6. is it just me or zandvoort is the best gp so far this season, even for me who cant afford subcription and only watch highlight.

  7. 7:53 Crazy how backmarker teams are raising the bar in terms of points. Upto less than 5 years ago, backmarkers scored single digit (at times even 0) points across a whole season (with the exception of 2024, with whatever tractor Kick Sauber came up with that somehow fetched 4 points).

  8. I have to wonder what Max could have done if he was in a Toro Rosso car, instead of the Red Bull.

  9. 7:53 Why only "aston martin ARAMCO" and not "ferrari HP" or "williams ATLASSIAN" ecc ecc …. ??!!?? ARAMCO pay you for this ? 💰💰💰💰💰
