Race Highlights | 2025 British Grand Prix

Russell, Llair are in. They’ve rolled the dice. That’s smart. I like it from Russell and fromlair. These are fast drivers in good grip positions that have given that up to put on slicks and save themselves a pit stop. Five red lights of Silverstone and the British Grand Prix is go. They crawl from the line and Oscar Pestri has the traction. Max Stabin thinks about the chop. He hangs on to the race lead from pole position. Pastri is now compromised and Lando Norris knows it. The driver currently in third trying to improve ahead. He can’t get by, but he’s angling that car. Hamilton diving to the inside. The top four remain. How they left the grid. Vstappen then Pastry. Norris and Hamilton. Pasley got a mighty launch off the line. He’s up three places.
Yeah. And we’ll look at that. An early break for Vistappen as the two McLaren were battling through.
Oh, off in the background. We saw a racing bull. It’s got to be Liam Lawson who has gone off. That is the heavy contact. We saw the flash of Lawson spinning round, but the car damaged, the suspension impacted and race over.
He’ll see Aon’s there and think, let’s try and hang it, but he won’t know that Aon has I think Yuki Cenoda on his inside as well.
Who the hell was that? Who the hell is that? Whoever this house was next to me. Oh, dude, he just drove straight into the side of me. What happened to the Brazilian driver in the points a week ago? Look, it’s so slow. He’s on slick tires and he’s going to apply the power and off.
Yeah, man. Sorry. It’s okay. No worries. Strollers come into the pit lane. There’s a chance here to score big points. It’s very unpredictable out there right now. The staff is loose. He’s fast and loose right now out front, keeping the McLaren behind, but look at his lines. He’s soaring away.
He’s nearly lost it. And Pastry just has to pick his moment. The championship leader comes out of the slipstream past the Red Bull. Papaya out front. Pastri takes the lead of the British Grand Prix. And even though this is the Lando Norris Grand Stand, they’re cheering for everyone right now. Incredibly difficult conditions for everyone right now.
Yeah, it never rains, but it pours. That is a proper dumping of water as they go down Wellington straight into Brooklyn’s. Look at how much traction Lando Norris has in comparison. Send it to Maggots’s corner. Side by side, Lando Norris knows he’s got better tires at the moment. And V Stampin is clinging on to the track at the moment.
We saw that radio message there. They’re bringing in Pia.
He’s off. He’s off at last couple of moments. One, two, three. And this time he goes off the racetrack. And Max Vstappen will just bring it back to the pits. They will all be heading in on this lap. So those who have stopped. It’s not quick. It’s not quick there for Lando Norris. And Max Stappen having lost the position gains it back. That was Charlotte off the road at Beckett’s corner. And he is lucky because that grass is not flat. I can tell you this is on the verge of a safety car. And it is extraordinary rain. It is biblical out there. Oscar Pastri has a clear view. Everyone else less so as we go back to attacking racing at the British Grand Prix. And that is Russell to the inside of Lewis Hamilton at Abby Turn. That’s an unusual one.
Yeah, Hamilton still struggling to find the grip. The first couple of laps of the race he was there.
Oh, and it’s very very tight. Very, very close to contact as Hamilton gets ahead. They’re scrambling around Okon who is dropping like a stone. But that was a brilliant move then from Hamilton having lost the place to Russell. Went around the outside of Aon. Russell looked to the inside and he lost one place but then gained two and the safety car is out once more because it’s a big moment for Isaac Hajar who’s gone off on the restart lap. This gives us a great insight to just how little the car see he’s rear ended. Oh my word.
Rear ended the car in front. I didn’t see him. I mean he appeared out of nowhere man. Oh my god. Safety car is ending and that is Max Stappen past the race leader. Enough for the timing to swap them round. Here we go again. Pick your restart moment. You cannot be Oh, he’s going to lose it. Magstappen spins round from second position and loses a hatful of places. Vstappen had to take avoiding action and he drops down to ninth position in the Grand Prix. Currently racing up against a Williams of Alex Alburn. He’s in a William sandwich at the moment. It’s a It’s a sudden against
It’s a 10second time penalty for Oscar Pastry. Look at the difference in closing speed again down at Stole corner. So Hamilton, will he go for the inside? This is what he wants, the inside line. He gets past the Alpine and the crowd will love that move. The Ferrari man is up to P5. Here comes Hulenberg. Hulkenberg’s got DRS. Hulenberg goes through to a podium position. It is race number 239 in his Formula 1 career. And you just watched Hulenberg go to third with the DRS. Hamilton now has a chance to make it through cleanly past as well. He’s very close into the break. He’s own a village. And Hamilton has the inside line. Hamilton has the place. Vistappen through turn one. Will he try a dive down into three? Will he try a dive into four? I’ll just keep naming the corners until he
tries a dive.
Go DC. There we go. Number four comes up for car number one. And he makes his way by. So Norris goes again. 10sec wait for McLaren. Now they get the signal. They get the call and he’s back into the Grand Prix. He goes for the inside, but is he going to have contact? Yes.
And it’s happened before at Silverstone with the H cars. Bareman and Okon come together racing each other. Tick off the pit stop because that one’s gone to plan. Lando has the lead at Silverstone, but how can he keep it between the white lines with Pastri 5.8 8 seconds behind. I don’t think the penalty before was very fair. If you don’t think it was fair either, I think we should swap back and race. Charlotte Clair with the correction into the gravel and he’s still P14 after that moment like he was last year.
Yeah, that’s painful in sto corner. In 2025, it’s Norris’s name on the trophy. Lando Norris wins the British Grand Prix. Oscar Pastri will say the penalty was so unfair, but it’s a McLaren one two as Norris takes seven points out of his advantage. And how about this? No one has ever waited as long to stand on a Formula 1 podium. Get rid of that stat and celebrate Nico Hulenberg. 239 starts and a podium finisher in Formula 1 at long long last. On the last lap, Pierre Gazzley’s tidy race had one more pass. He got past Lance Stroll into Stow corner.
Bravo. Nice pass. Nice race for Alpine and Pierre as well. This is a day to savor the sight and sound of Silverstone with a surprise podium finisher in Nico Hulenberg, a controversial penalty for Oscar Pastri, and a home win for Lando Norris.

  1. I think that today everyone feels happy seeing HÜLKENBERG getting his first podium, he fought really well in races such as Belgium 2012 and Brazil 2012, in those he finished 4th.
    The podium could be:
    1 The Winner
    2 The defeated
    3 THE HAPPIEST ONE THERE🥹🇩🇪

  2. Hopeless and it took Niko over 200 races to get a pooooooooooodium, pathetic, same old only 4 cars really have a chance at wining. Juhaptergee

  3. NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO NI-CO!!!!!!!!

  4. Lando wins with an asterisk in my opinion . We all know Oscar’s pace today was in another stratosphere and 10 seconds was wayyy too harsh.

  5. the fact that, hulkenbuuuurgh's old teammate, kevin mavnussen, is there watching, is soo heartwarming!! Congrats for Nico
