In today’s video, I wanted to talk about one of my favorite games of all time, or at least, what used to be my favorite game of all time; Call of duty Modern Warfare 2 (2009). I remember playing this video game everyday at my friend’s house during summer break as a kid. I was absolutely hooked. Soon, I got my own Playstation 3 and the rest was history. I spent countless hours in Mutiplayer, running through the Campaign, and attempting to gain 3 stars at the Spec Ops Missions. So, here we are, well after the game’s release, and I’ve booted it up once more for old time’s sake. Does it still stand the test of time, or is it just something that I’ve looked at through Nostalgia Goggles. Don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe!

I remember telling a friend about its features and story, he thought i was lying
That good was this game
Remember, no russian…
Great video man, I was just being nostalgic about this era in gaming just last night 🫡🙌
Not a fan of the new Call Of Duty games at all, but this one is awesome! Great choice for a video, Thank you!!!
I was in Afghanistan with the Corps when this came out. On the phone with one of my friends from home, he told me about "No Russian" and I didn't believe him. Truth be told I was a little disappointed in the multiplayer and as playing as an army ranger for the campaign, I much prefer the slower pace of modern warfare original hardcore team deathmatch and hardcore search and destroy but it was still a fun game.
Watching videos like this during the current state of the gaming industry is like looking at an old photo of someone you loved deeply. You know you can’t go back, but you’d do anything to just have a little more time together one final time.
Even though I never got into the multi-player in fps games, I always had a soft spot for the campaign modes! My brother would always get these games, so it always worked for me to use them to play the campaigns!
This vid gives me RUST ptsd 😅
What the kids from today will never get is how vicious and pure unadulterated rage was going on in the TS Lobby’s 😂
Oh boy the good old days
I have played through the campaigns of the trilogy a couple of times.
No, the gameplay is not super intelligent and complex. But it's great fun. It's like being the protagonist in some action movie. And they get more and more ridiculous as the story moves on. And I sometimes replay them for that reason. Going around being the hero.
Where CoD hit it's peak differs a bit depending on who you ask, but there seems to be a consensus to be either MW1, BlOps or MW2.
CoD4 was a big shift from the WWII setting pretty much every game did before. not just FPS but also RTS and other genres. The whole notion of "modern warfare" with modern weapons and this level of realism was really something different.
To btw, toggle vs hold ADS is a setting. You can have the "release right mouse to go back to hipfire" on mkb just like on controller.
I never played them with toggle.
We seem to have similar taste in games, cool. And yeah 100% this game still holds up (at least for me). I just re played it not long ago. I do wish the remaster had the spec ops.
Very nice Bard !!!
Maybe im just old, but i always found The Invasion of Virginia way more disturbing than No Russian
The Elder Scrolls guy randomly drops a Modern Warfare 2 video out of nowhere. For real though thanks for ALL of the great content.
With the devs saying that skill based matchmaking and skill based damage is here to stay you know it's time to play something else.
NOOB TUBE!! 😂😂 now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long long time
I absolutely cannot relate to using the controller (been a keyboard & mouse gamer literally all my life). Have always found it inconvenient & non-intuitive (I guess it's just a thing of habit).
That being said, MW2 is absolutely a classic. I actually haven't played much multiplayer, but have always enjoyed the campaign.
Gotta admit I'm surprised you're probably a child of the 90's like many of us. Man, I miss those times playing Xbox 360 with the boys, we were playing competitive on gamebattles, MLG and CSL during that time period, never played the story though. Each and every CoD I've ever played was only online and competitive. Search and destroy, domination…anyone remember CoD4…damn those fragmovies are unmatched can't believe that stuff doesn't exist anymore everything changed so fast. Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3..R.I.P.
Edit: came back to nostalgia thanks to this vid of Bard, remember ProMod? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f6Wz1KgpBg&t=173s
Your voice would be great for audio books! 👍
Holds up better than the games they make now 😂
Hans Zimmer is an amazing composer, composing the scores for many famous movies like The Lion King, The Prince of Egypt, The Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and so many more. James Horner and John Williams are also really famous film composers whose soundtracks I very much enjoy. 🎶
This was one of the first single player games I ever played, after Skyrim. Something about it, I dunno. The gameplay, acting, the characters… it really got to me. I remember when I FINALLY got MW3, and just how much I BAWLED over it, because I just adored Soap and Price.
I read all of Soap's journal over and over again, replayed the story until I could play it with my eyes closed… I never even played online because we didn't have Xbox gold.
Anyway, it was really special for me. I love it to this day, and regularly replay it.
Please try Halo. It has (in my opinion) the best video game story.
Oh hell yeah.
P.S Try MW 2019 if you have yet to try the campaign. Ignore all the others.
Peak COD ♥
When this game came out i had just started a year in Korea, this was my life when i got back to the barracks.
Hate fps multiplayer now tho
MW2 was my first online multiplayer game too, honestly was my formative gaming experience from 13-16or so. Never really got into any other online games afterwards
Love the new content!! Great way to branch out into new territory. Awesome job 🙂
😊👍.
In my childhood I only played the first MW and the original CoD 1, and I loved them! I still think Pripyat missions are the best in the whole franchise! And only recently, like 6-7 years ago, I found out about the sequel xD (Even tho I loved the first game, I still wasn't into shooter genre much)
Also in Russian version Makarov says "Ни слова по русски" (remember: not a word in russian), and that's funny cuz he speaks russian through the whole mission x3
p.s. The spec ops missions can go ** themselves! I remember how much time I spent on them, especially on the vehicle graveyard one!
