We’ll go over every unplayable Final Fantasy game ever! There are a lot of lost media Final Fantasy games. These are games that have been shutdown and are no longer playable, games that are extremely rare and not on modern hardware, or games that never made it out of Japan. Basically it’s a REFFOID clean up video, hoping to cover everything I may have missed over the last few years. List of games below!

  1. 1:28:26 It's been 3,000 years…

I knew about a lot of these lost games but there were a few that I had never actually seen gameplay before like Grandmasters. It's crazy that you can definitively say you've reviewed every Final Fantasy game now, and minus a few straggling pieces of extended media like a XIII short story that was only in the Japanese ultimania guidebook, that isekai manga that isn't finished yet, or the XIV J-Drama's, you've very thoroughly cleared out the entire FF catalogue in general.

Very excited for the next video, another finale for REFFOID, the show that just keeps on ending.

  2. the matrix style high-flying in G-Bike is so insanely over the top… Whoever did the graphics obviously did it with a lot of love.

  3. Alright, because I’m a turbo-dweeb I wanted to comment on two of these I noticed so far:

    1. I put about 11 hours into the English translation of Pictlogica. I can’t speak to whether or not the difficulty was dumbed down, but I loved it! That being said, it’s literally just nonograms, and the boss fights are way less of a presence than you’d think. They’re like 10% of what you’re doing total
    2. There is a link that works for Unlimited PC’s download, and shockingly enough my windows 10 PC ran it! I’m only on chapter 3, and my Japanese is still pretty rudimentary. From what I understand, it’s basically a retelling of the anime (that I haven’t watched yet) and it occasionally has boss fights with cards. I actually think the card system is pretty fun, all things considered, but if I’m being honest it’s no better than a 5/10 and there are way better visual novels out there.

EDIT: once I finish my introductory Japanese textbook (and with some help from my polyglot friend), I plan to release a low-key manifesto of Unlimited PC information for preservation purposes. It’ll have translations, a mechanics breakdown, and a synopsis for the TL;DR so the fandom doesn’t lose this piece of FF history.

  4. Final Fantasy Unlimited made no sense to me story-wise so I ended up just fast-forwarding to all the scenes where Kaze does his whole Magun summons those scenes had the best music and the color sequence was sublime. And then immediately found out that in Strangers of Paradise they reference the Magun in one of the job skills.

  5. I'd love more re-releases of dead mobile games like Mega Man X DiVE Offline and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete.

  6. Yo, i wasnt here when you were covering these games and this is the first video that youtube reccomended to me from you, but if the rest of Refoids and your channel by extension is half as good as this, then i am very very very excited for your conclusion video and have hours of reviews to go through while i draw, rare that i find a youtuber doing rankings and series and reviews worth my attention but the chocobo picture book absolutely sold me
