Dlss4 is so fckn crazy good. Its so sharp and the fidelity is most of the time perfect.
Does Physx works fine with the 5090? Have you noticed any difference?
4:44 there’s no point in doing that. alternatively you can host these files on file server for us to download them raw or you can a thing called resampling, where you essentially stuff smoothness of 120 fps into 60 fps similar to motion blur but not quite (clarity is still there, but it has smoothness) it’s pretty hard technique actually and not something you’re looking for and it works best starting from 240 fps, and up. either HUB, GN or DF did exact same thing with 120 fps source files and hosting them on their sites, but it was behind a paywall of Patreon.
in sum – use HQ encoding settings and use 60fps

still waiting for this update to come to epic games! normal edition+dlcs the game is still unplayable on 50 series on the current update before this one so…
The gameplay seemed smooth from my phone, i currently have the PC disassembled so i can't watch the video from the TV but this is completely unfair hiding graphics settings behind a specific game edition is straight up a kick in the nut. Just why? I have the ultimate edition personally on Steam but it just doesn't make any sense to add these settings only to that edition.
Sadly no improvement for texture streaming.Only low settings are usable for 8 gb cards.Even medium have struggled to adequate load textures near player.
Strange that you are getting the massive freezes. Maybe its a Blackwell driver issue or AMD thing. I have a 13600k and RTX 4090. At the same settings and no freezers or stutter.🤔
Tried it by myself and imho the Ray Tracing Count = 3 looks good enough compared to 8 but is much less demanding.
I've seen a lot of people on Reddit complaining about this game running bad on 50 series GPU's…. And its happening to me aswell on a 5080 🙁 a lot of stutters and sometimes it just completly crashes
I'll download the game again and check if I can reproduce these freezes on my 13900KS + 4090 setup. I don't remember those from back when I played the DLCs a year ago but maybe it has changed with the latest update.

Floor crates still garbling even with new dlss, which is pretty distracting for otherwise good image quality.
I was so excited when this update was announced, but when it came out I was disappointed since I had the base game (free on epic games) and had purchased the season pass with both DLCs on a sale for 5 dollars. I might purchase the ultimate edition (on steam this time) when a sale comes out tho since i feel like Remedy deserves it. Control is in my top 10 games, perhaps even top 5. Can't wait for FBC FireBreak

It's taking us a while to ensure everything propagates correctly across multiple storefronts and editions of Control. Is this actual update of today or an old one years ago that added hdr support? I couldnot notice the fsr, still dlss only?
I thought that my PC was broken or something, but it seems that the new update comes with a lot of stuttering. Ran DDU a couple of times, switching drivers etc but no luck. I’ve experienced the same issue as you Bang, stuttering like crazy, like the one at 2:45. Too bad though. The update looks really good and makes me want to replay the game with the new RT mode and HDR implementation. Hope they can fix it soon.

Nah that not run smoother from 120 to 60. Still choppy and quality of youtube jezzzzz 4k on 2k screen still looking bad

Was your palit rtx 5090 gamerock undervolted? Is asus tuf 5090 better with gpu and mem temperatures? Had you tuned with palit rtx 5090 vcard fans higher than stock 56%?
Played it on my 970. This looks how I remember it. Flashbacks to the horrible gameplay. Really liked the story but as an actual game it's C tier
Adding my comment to mention I’m having issues on 5090 and Control too. Especially testing without DLSS there are freezes, stutters and sometimes even crashes in certain areas with lots of reflections. No issues with 4090.
