I'm in process of building a youth center on the big lighthouse lot 🙂
I still haven't decided if I am going to purchase this pack. But, what I would love to see is a MOD for a Pawn Shop, and the ability to sell big ticket items. Maybe these are already around, I don't know. Still, it does look like the pack is a great idea, but I also would like to know how broken it is.
Is empty lots to build on a bad thing? Are we saying there are too many or not enough? I thought more would be better so we can build or download great builds on the gallery (my preference). I picked up the game last night and played with a bowling alley/arcade business and had a blast.
These mods will be great for the next two weeks until InZoi is released. 😼
The packs always seem so good when they’re teased, and even watching those with early access, but once you play them? Boy do you really see how lackluster and half assed they are. You’re right, it’s hardly a hobbies pack. There is so much potential for this though. Already has me wondering what new hobbies I can make as mods 🧐
Good job. At least you don’t have to demolish something to add something new. This was you can make it what you want it to be. Nordhaven reminds me in the add on Scandinavian world that you could get for the The Sims 3. It is on the austere side.
I'm building an open farm on the big lot (we call it kinderboerderij en pluktuin) where sims can come and buy farm products, pick their own berries and play with the farm animals. I have one near me irl where children can come help milk the goats and they have classes on how to make ice cream with it. It's a very popular activity for families and nearby schools

Ik that by the time I buy this pack for the $20 or less that it’s worth, the modder’s will have completely revamped or improved it. I’m so grateful to have them.

You can make a mall on the big lot. Or somthing like a town street with a diner, a bookshop / cafe and other things. I love big lots.
It broke my game!! Now I’m spent 12 hours trying to fix it and now my game says repairing.
Still waiting for your let's play to decide if I buy this pack. Looks good so far, but without your blessing I ain't buying sh*t

i literally knocked down the whole second floor of the new world starter home and it qualified as a tiny house for the extra buffs
I'm waiting for a mod that makes it able to create apartments and home businesses together on the same lot, that would be perfect for the lighthouse lookout lot. Having 4 or 5 different families with their own businesses in one lot, so it looks like a lively little neighborhood. Reminds me of south korea and that would honestly be so much fun D:

You should consider a video of the best lots for business and hobbies expansion pack. The ones that are only B&H + base game and the ones that use packs as well!

I did a tattoo parlor. I've only had it "open" twice so far, and Day 1 made 9.5k and Day 2 made 12.5k with lvl 5 tattooing. Seems a bit too easy to make money with.

I used the Lighthouse Lookout lot as a cooking school for one of my sims.
Residential rentals might be good on the big lot, or like a mall/outlet
It is interesting that East asian sim community had more diverse opinions toward the new DLC.
Overall, We held a more positive response as we felt finally put some decent aesthetic effort into the non-CC items.
Maybe it's just that we don't have high expectations for them anymore, especially since they cut out a lot of "siming fun" from S3, animation or gaming style .
When modders are able to instantly improve on a pack only a couple days after release and give simmers what they REALLY want…that is when EA should fear for their future. So, now. No, actually it's been since the very beginning…

the big lot made my game not work so if you run a businesses on a big lot it wont work properly
