  1. You need to be Embered to play online. You can always see messages but to summon you must consume and Ember OR defeat a boss. You always become Embered after defeating a boss.

  2. Edit: Oh noes, you're a rage quitter when you get invaded?! 😫When you get invaded and either win or lose, a cooldown timer starts and you will not be invaded for at least 15 minutes. When you quit out of the game like that, you don't reset the timer and can be immediately invaded again. The calm and casual way you closed out the game in that invader's face when the bonfire was right beside you if you had lost… 😭

That random crab actually got trapped inside the skeleton ball that was rolling around at some point. When you kill the skeleton controlling it, the ball shatters and the crab is set free. 🦀
When you're embered, you're open to being invaded, and it's why you saw the Johnny Flame summon sign. I'd keep it on if you haven't been. IMO solo invasions are actually fun in DS3, whereas they practically removed them from Elden Ring.

  3. To the right of the boss room in the lake is a hill that goes up. There’s a bonfire right inside and, I believe, an Estus shard on the hill.

  4. It's been so long since I've played DS3 and when I did I wasn't connected to the internet to get invaded or do co op .might be worth trying it out again just for that.

  5. IN DS3 THERE IS NO DANGER OF RUINING A CHEST BY GIVING IT A HIT WITH YOUR SWORD TO CHECK IF IT’S A MIMIC. Please don’t be a pssy

  6. does insane damage, almost killing a pontiff knight just by wildly spamming "is this place too tough for me? :'((("

I don't get it, it isn't the first souls game you're playing, why are you so against the challenge? I don't think you're under leveled at all

  7. Oh…you sent him to boreal valley by hastily clicking through his dialogue. I hope he finds something good for you

  8. Regarding your character/weapon level, your weapon level is fine and character level is only a little low. You're just REALLY low on stamina for trying to use an ultra greatsword, I'd def recommend dumping a BUNCH of levels into that so you can use the weapon more effectively. 😊

Edit – you deffff don't wanna go to the snowfield yet, both DLC's are significantly tougher than the base game areas (I'd recommend leaving them until you've completed the base game), in terms of progression, Smoldering Lake is a fully optional side area with some good loot and crucial items for pyromancy builds, so there's not much point in going down there unless you INTEND to clear it, which can be very aggravating this early.

  9. As per you requesting where to explore, I would say hanging out around the Smouldering Lake and defeating the Old Demon King should be the next move. If not that, then continuing from the Church of Yorshka. The snowfield should be much later on in the series.

  10. As to your question about your level, your level is fine. It’s just you panic running through areas, missing LOT’S items/content and not learning enemy movesets that is what’s goin to make things constantly rough for you.

  11. Just as you can only see Summon Signs when Embered, you can only be Invaded when Embered.

Edit: 1:13:16 The "fog wall" here can only be passed through if you have the Small Doll, regardless of whether you've killed the Sullyvan Beast or not.
Still, better to kill it here on the bridge, because otherwise it shows up later in a much worse place.

  12. I hated the catacombs, this was my first souls game and I quit because of that area 😂 but it was so fun with Johnny sins

  13. Rushing in the unknown? You chose pain.
Since you asked for advice where to go, I would backtrack every single area. And buy the keys from the DS2 offbrand firekeeper. With your Zwee and you level, backtracking old areas should be pretty chill.

  14. 38:30 I'm not sure if it applies to DS3 as well, but I think in ER, if you quit while being invaded, the "get-invaded-cooldown" doesn't get activated. If you don't quit/reload and just fight, win or lose, you'll have the cooldown and no one can invade you for some time.

Edit: Also, I've never seen this weird camera thing haha

  15. Your level is just fine for where you are…Before the boss door in the smoldering lake look to your right!! There is more to the area…Also please for the love of god use your Estus Shard and Undead Bone Shards!

  16. Loved the ep as always, especially the step out moment into Irythill. It gets everyone. You might be tiny bit underleveled, but you're definitely a strong enough player to make it through the area. Otherwise there's some other stuff branching off the Catacombs to go back to

  17. Irithyll of the Boreal Valley has plenty of hidden paths behind illusory walls (also items). The only problem I see is missing a lot of content I mean lore wise, because of rushing. No need to. What is the point for pushing to the end of the game? Such amazing game. Emma, you should check every corner, lick every wall, to make sure you don't miss anything. FromSoftware games deserve to be squeezed to the max.

  18. Long-time watcher, love your vids! Sometihng I recently learned after years of DS play – in DS3, the "Undead Hunter Charm" item, which you likely have a few of, and can be purchased from the Shrine Handmaiden, will expose and sleep mimics! If the chain is straight and pointing towards you, it's a mimic, throw a charm, it'll pop open for looting, and you can go on your merry way 🙂

  19. Just a summary regarding multiplayer for this game specifically which I think is a little silly is that being in an "embered" state will allow you to both summon and be invaded. What makes this different from other souls games and elden ring is that the game will force you into that ember state every time you kill a boss. So if you want to avoid invasions consistently you either have to die every time you beat a boss to remove the ember effect or play offline. And as far as I'm aware this is the only game in this series that "forces" you to be vulnerable to invasions.

  20. If you're too much of a woos to open chests incase they might be mimics try throwing a Lloyd's talisman at the chest instead
