It's frustrating as I only learned you can't have a small business on a residential rental lots after spending 2 straight days on a 64×64 lot building a fully functional town 😭😭😭😭
They could have added like fashion designer or maybe like making your own custom clothes or something like come on sims

I like the idea of this pack and like running business so from that aspect I'll like the pack BUT WHERE ARE THE HOBBIES?!?!? Glassblowing, sewing, ballet, stamp collecting (easy collectible for elders), birdwatching, more musical instruments, and yes kids hobbies like you mentioned would have been cute too. Also, where's the Scandinavian food? All the cute stalls to buy – hotdogs. And yes, a few pre-made business lots. I know the gallery will have a ton but just a few easy to plunk down pre-mades would have been nice
Thank You so much Satch for your incredible reviews! I make sure I watch all of your pack reviews to get an honest assessment of DLC before purchasing. My only “add” is that I personally would have to “de-rate” this pack down to an overall score of 5 because a massive game company like EA should “come out the gate” with Expansion Packs that are around a 40 US dollar price point that, although features may be lacking, should be almost completely free of bugs. The game is 10 years old and they should know how to create bug free DLC by now especially with the high price point of their Expansion Packs.

Sims 4 seems to be very build oriented/visually oriented, whereas former sims games were more gameplay oriented. I am guessing that the developers are the 'builder' typer of simmers, who likes to build pretty things. And because they are wanting the visual details, they might actually not realise that what players are missing is gameplay. You notice with former sims games, people were using tons of cc, because the graphics and options were a bit lacking. But today, people seem to use mods more than cc.
I think the former sims games were actually better, because you were more limited in what you could control. This made you more creative with your game. (both in building and in playing) They were simply more 'difficult', which made it more interesting to try and accomplish things, and more satisfying when you did. I recently went back to sims 2 (though Aspyr, not EA), and it became very clear.
In sims 4, your traits or aspirations don't matter that much; you can still just ignore it, and your sim will be miserable, but it have no real consequence. In sims 2, you actually need to play according to the sim's needs and wants; they drop super fast, and will literally go into aspiration failure if you don't. If someone don't have chemistry with you, they will actually walk by like they are about to throw up, or pick a fight. There may be missing a bit in build and buy and CAS, but honestly, it is still better than the pretty, but overwhelming options in sims 4.
Sims 2 was raunchy, yet wholesome, in a way that just can't be matched. <3
Dude ,Sims 4 is a total disaster, but it got worse. Errors all over the place. I opened a successful vet clinic. It has full 4 stars not bad. Even when open the business, as outsider I come there no vet doctor shoes up. Just starts talking to you when invite the doctor there. But doesn't fix your pet. Tons of errors this game has. I'm tired of it though. Never ever they fixed things I play it from the start abd I know as no other wgat sims was meant to be. It got worse. Anybody has trouble with gameplay? I can't be the only one

17:24 i hate that. Its the same with the highschool and university packs where teachers are just NPCS, you cant play as them, or the nannies/butlers/grocery people. I wish they were all playable.

30:14 they are tho. I was holding a lecture and out of nowhere a autogenerated townie started ch0king one of the other attendants. I ignored it and just resetted the sims . but it kept happening. istg every time i unpaused the game, townies were fighting, killing eachother or running away screaming. what the hell dude
(i am aware that i can just take the mod out but god knows what they'll do instead)
I spent several days building lots to visit as my sim. I wish they were already available!!
