This Days Gone “What it takes to Survive” mission glitch is a PC-only nightmare that could destroy your permadeath runs without warning! Every time you play this specific mission, there’s a 50% chance you’ll spawn into a 300-swarmer giga horde “Ice Wind Lava Cave”, instead of the usual smaller horde on PlayStation. And even if you manage to take them all down, the mission can bug out completely, forcing a restart.
I ran this mission 20+ times to test it, and the results are consistentโthis is 100% un-modded and happening only on PC. If you’re a perma-death runner or just playing normally, this needs to be fixed before it ruins your game.
Now this glitch seems to work differently in many places as another person looking into this @chugzillafx has reported that sometimes this horde respawns endlessly.
@BendStudio_ if you’re watching, please patch this! And while you’re at it… how about that Syphon Filter remaster? ๐

WHILE THIS DOES NOT AFFECT EVERYONE.
To the players affected by this, keep restarting the checkpoint in this horde fight sequence until you get a small horde coming from the right side of the tunnels.
To the players wanting to test this, if you get the small horde restart the checkpoint until you get the big horde and enjoy the chaos.
Recap of the issue:
There is a discrepancy of the expected horde size – Is it 300 or 50. This is my first problem. If you have a small horde on pc and you restart checkpoint, you might get the big one and vice a versa.
If I beat the 300 size horde the mission does not progress(proven at the end of the livestream).
If you do the 300 horde in a certain location near the leaving mission area it continuously spawns enemies at you. 450 has been confirmed as a video. Maximum that someone has reported is 700, as I do not have a video I will not use it as an legit source.

Wow, that horde is tough prospect for seasoned horde hunters, let alone any new gamers playing for the first time. I now get why I've had so many comments on this mission. That just ain't fair for the PC gamers. Lets hope they do something about this, as it will destroy a lot of gamers if they don't. Great video my friend.
I have about 900 hours on PC but I've never encountered that glitch. The one that bothers me, and has been very consistent, is Remote Bombs not functioning properly. They go off when enemies get near, like a proximity mine. This makes it impossible to get the precisely timed detonations that the remote bombs ARE MADE FOR!
yeah, this is real i have 4000 hours between steam-epic games-GOG and i get 300-450 in this mission every time. no mods ever done and we can't figure out why unless this horde increases with play throughs who knows.
This guy admitted on Discord that he has edited and modded his files in the past, so nothing he says here is to be taken as factual. For all we know his files are corrupt.
