The trick I've learned to fight The Thing as spider-man is to rely on the team. Your web pull won't move him, but it still stuns him. Often times just stunning him during his ult or when he's attacking a teammate can get them to either back off or get them killed.

He isn't overpowered. He's combos barely kill anyone anymore because everyone got health upgrades and the healing and shielding is op.
