  1. I loved this game, but it definitely needed a game over if there wasn't going to be major impacts on the qte's.

  2. 6 years late but just from this review I can say that heavy rain is much better

  3. Good story. I really liked the characters. And the sense of hopelessness that was conveyed during Jodie's homeless days was heart-wrenching.

But the CIA missions, man… damn I DESPISED that portion of the game, because the game's engine simply wasn't built to handle action sequences.

  4. Only I thought that the characters at the party didn't felt like humans at all? They don't care about her supernatural power of moving things and just begin to talk about underwears.

  5. "At least you can see Ellen Page in her underwear? … She looks like a boy"

    Yyyyeah, about that…

  6. "You can at least see virtual Ellen Page in her underwear… she looks like a boy." Huh, that joke aged, remarkably well actually.

  7. Then we got the much better Detroit Become Human with Mr Krabs lol
"Connor, the fuck are you doing"

  8. This isn't directed at you, Jared, but people just take these games way too seriously. Cage games are a fun romp as long as you don't think about them too hard and that's how they should stay. Yeah, these games don't have the tight writing of Kojima, Taro, or Avellone, that's okay. If you're carefully dissecting every part of the plot that's stupid or doesn't make sense you're gonna be there a long time and you're missing the point. Just sit back and enjoy some grade-A schlock.

  9. I beat this game two times. It's the only game I have bothered beating more than once. I really enjoyed the adventure and story. Gameplay and linearity, I agree, it's flawed, but I don't think that was ever the focus. For me it was a really entraining story about loss and recovery. So many memorable scenarios

  10. Beyond two souls is one of my favorites, it's definitely more of an interactive movie though

  11. This is obviously a long time ago but there's one detail I haven't seen covered by any reviewers. This game has co-op.

One player could download an app and control Aiden from their phone or use a second controller. But you know the best part about it? They can't play as Aiden at the same time as the other player playing as Ellie. Which means for Player 2 to play as Aiden, Player 1 has to activate Aiden and then Player 1 has to sit and watch Player 2. Oh, and you don't have a separate screen on your phone, you only use that to control him, there's no split screen. You are restricted to one person playing at a time. So basically…it's single player.

….you are just playing single player with more steps. Just hand them the fucking controller instead. It is one of the dumbest things I've ever experienced.

  12. Imagine making a video game in the style of an interactive film and then telling the story out of order, so if the story goes backwards there's clearly no way your choices will effect events in the future, because you've already been there!

  13. Green goblin sold me the game even if i didn't enjoy it as much as heavy rain or detroid becomes human.

  14. 7:22 "You can at least see virtual Ellen Page in her underwear…… she looks like a boy" That was some amazing foreshadowing
