We also discuss leaks of an Oblivion Remaster. The Elder Scrolls VI is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It will be the sixth main installment in the Elder Scrolls series, following 2011’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

  1. Id bet that procedural content will be a big part of it. Their goal in game design has seemed to be to make their games replayable forever, often at the expense at hand placed items and locations. A big complaint about oblivion was the lack of hand placed loot and how everything was level scaled, they sort of fixed that in skyrim, sort of but not really. Honestly sailing and fort/town building sound cool enough. Its funny to me how many people say that their latest games have made them lower their expectations and they hope they learned their lesson so the next game can be as good as Skyrim. Skyrim was the game that made me lower my expectations for bethesda, and fallout 4 raised them a bit. I think thy will learn some valuable lessons from their other games but still go full steam ahead with the procedural stuff, i expect to enjoy the next ES game more than skyrim regardless.

  2. If I swing a great sword and I twirl it around like a wand I will not be happy. Let me swing sword very hard please

  3. We mention this in the video, but there was a 4chan post a bit ago that said many of these same points. I was not aware that Extas1s also referenced this. Still unclear if his source is the same as the post but it doesn’t change anything as he claims the information is reliable since it is still second hand info. Just want to clear that up a bit. As always, be skeptical with things like this. We won’t know until the game actually comes out if it is true or not.

  4. Actually, skyrim does have a partial class-based leveling system. the way skyrim works, is that you have to level up skills 10 times (any skill, all 1 or all different, or mixed) and then your character levels up. The problem with this is that the 'world' also levels up with you, once your character hits a certain level, much harder bosses start to appear, also, the mobs and npcs also level up, getting more health and can do more damage. So if you want to be powerful in game, you tend to have to stick to a class for a while, so that you wont get bodied in the mid game (though it's not really an issue in the early or late game).

From what i have heard, bethesda did say there were separating skills from actual player level up. so that is probably what they meant.

  5. I have faith in Bethesda to make Elder scrolls 6 as polished and special as some previous titles. Unfortunately I'm a optimist😅

  6. Procedural generated islands, ship building, village building (?). They’re bringing the greatest hits from their “Nobody Cares” album, and will forget to give us what we want – A living breathing handcrafted world that’s unique in its characters, stories with a fun gameplay loop that rewards exploration and progression.
I’ve grown extremely cynical towards BGS and this honestly sounds like the stuff they’ve been up to these days.

  7. I wonder if they do include ship battles and island exploration, if Yokuda will be among the list of islands you can travel too. It would make sense if you factor in that Yokuda is West/Northwest to Hammerfell and High Rock. It would be the first time in more recent TES content a game let's you explore a continent outside of Tamriel, which would be pretty dope. I would've preferred Akavir to Yokuda but a new continent is a new continent.

  8. I hope this is better then Skyrim cause im tried for people prasing Skyrim as the best. But also i love naval battle. Especially the naval battles in AC: Blackflag.

  9. Settlement building helped make Fallout 4 the flaming garbage pile that it was. That's literally an instant no-buy for me.

  10. People seem to forget that when Skyrim came out everyone said that Oblivion was better. And when Oblivion came out everyone said Morrowind was better. And so on.
