They definitely need to start adding new events. It gets quite boring running through the same ones each time. If they continue like this, Companions is unlikely to last long, which is sad. I feel like there's a lot of potential.

There will be an Arena overhaul next patch and it will be a duo style Arena where you can get your mates rewards and weekly rewards.
Nothing new in companions, nothing new in classic. The game is making money it actually had a revenue increase last month so thats not it, so wtf are the devs doing? Very strange.
