  1. Personally, I think this mod is more replayable than Elden Ring, it's more like Demon's Souls 2

  2. Oh god, I'm really not ready for colossal weapons to take the slot of Greathammers. The colossal that was in the demo felt like ass to use because the Elden Ring colossal weapon moveset feels like ass to use, and knowing the better selection of greathammers will either be dinkier than an ultra greatsword or turned into a shitty colossal weapon doesn't feel great. This also gets compounded by the extremely liberal use of Sekiro enemy movesets in the mod, resulting in colossals feeling extremely terrible.

    This is, however, based on the state the OG demo released in, I didn't play the newer version. I'm unaware of any changes made to the colossal weapon moveset in the updated demo, but if nothing happened on this front I'm really, really not looking forward to this change. I am, however, going to re-play the latest version of the demo to make sure my complaint still holds water.

    EDIT: Played through the entire demo to completion, I stand by my statement that I think it would be a massive misplay to have greathammers replaced by colossal weapons. The moveset for greathammers feels really good to use in the demo while the colossal weapons feel like shite. I feel like for those of us who prefer the heavier weapons (except for Ultra Greatswords, which so graciously get exempt from this change, good for Struggler at least), forcing heavy(est) weapon users to use that god awful moveset when the greathammer moveset is that much better feels like a crime.

    Realistically, I would move the DS3 greathammer moveset out to colossal weapons and scrap the shitty ER moveset except for maybe one weapon you really want to see fail miserably, and take the greathammer moveset from ER to use on the greathammer class. That way, you get the best of both worlds and that god awful moveset stays far away as possible.

The poise change would only make sense if armor defense values were also rebalanced, armor defense stats are very weak in DS3 compared to other titles, you don't gain much defense from medium to heavy armor, but you do get a LOT of weight, so the main benefit of heavy armor in DS3 is poise and not defense, by increasing the poise of all other armors you don't leave much reason to use heavy armor at all

  4. Will you guys be taking assets from Nightreign when it releases or is the mod too far developed for brand new additions?

  5. I dig the way you're playing with movesets – Sounds fun and a step up from what I'm doing! The light to heavy combos sounds really neat. I'm also glad you're being careful not to overbalance stuff because some discrepancies are good as long as they make sense as it makes sense that heavy armour should protect you more but all playstyles are encouraged. The demo was a great look at how things currently were and really clean for a playable early look. You guys are working like legit pros, I'm loving what I see, and I'm always excited for the next update! Good job with everything, guys!

  6. i hope you guys make a change to the consumable system. I want to use consumables like how the estus flask is used in the game. Like 10 firebombs per life and can be like upgraded if you find more bone shards. This will also make me want to explore the mod more as surely you guys would want more meaningful stuff to add in the world in terms of items. Likewise please make it a work of passion as always thank you.

  7. There are a lot of interesting mechanics, but there’s still room for improvement. I really miss the jump from Elden Ring, the skills from Sekiro, and the weapon balance from Dark Souls 2. I want to try playing Dark Souls 3 on the Boosteroid cloud service, but it’s a shame you can’t install this mod there.

  8. I don't PvP often but these changes seem reasonable to me. I don't think I even knew about that Light Attack→Running Heavy Attack combo before, so that's definitely something to try next time I play the demo!
