In today’s video, I wanted to continue with and finish my journey through the main questline featured in the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It starts off by trapping a dragon in Dragonsreach. In order to get to that part in the story, both the Stormcloaks and the Imperials need to agree to a temporary truce, hosted by the Greybeards. After that was accomplished, the dragon, Odahviing was summoned and trapped in Whiterun. He told me that Alduin’s portal to Sovngarde was located in the ruins of Skuldafn, and that only he could fly me over there. Taking his word for it, I fought my way through the hordes of Draugr, dragons and even a dragon priest. Arriving in Sovngarde, I made it to the Hall of Valor where the heroes of old were waiting for me. Together, the 4 of us cleared the mists in the valley, and defeated Alduin the World Eater. 1. It always bums me out that this fight is easier than the mountaintop battle. I like the thematic element of fighting with the heroes of old, but they do their job too well and it’s a cakewalk compared to the harder fight you’ve already had against him.

I would’ve had Alduin do more soul-sucking, even down to the earth bones to make him super charged here.

  2. Hoooorrratyyy bard!! I really enjoyed the video, your analysis is Fantastic as Always man. While i enjoyed the main quest, im really Looking forward to the deadric quests! You do those so Well man. Have a great day.

  3. Oh my goodness, Alduin is kill😮
Great mentioning the notched pickaxe lmfao, Steve Creepermane had me rolling my eyes 😂.
Pretty short main quest, right to the point.
But I'm glad you include all of the important in-game dialogue. It's good stuff fr.
The DLC's are a lotta fun, Dawnguard and Dragon born are killer. Hearthfire is, um, more useful than Horse Armor, so..Kinda a low bar though huh? Lmao. But fantastically entertaining video as always Bard.
Looking forward to many more greatly narrated lore videos.

  4. could you imagine at that table The Empire..StormCloaks..the Thalmor and of course the insignificant Dragonborn..side with the stormcloaks? nah..side with the empire? even less..side with the thalmor and reveal their plan? an option to be explored..or well lets face it dragonborn vs all seems more appropriate even though in ES6..they'll rewrite everything our character has done anyway.

  5. I forgot how cheesey the dialogue was in sovangarde. For some reason, they talk like they are a bunch of shakespeare wannabes even the souls from the modern era. Genuinely made me laugh out loud a few times

  6. 3:24 It should be noted that in the vanilla game, the Notched Pickaxe did NOT actually increase your Smithing skill, but rather restores damage to your Smithing skill (and nothing actually does damage to your skills like that). It was fixed with the Unofficial Skyrim Patch 2.0.0.
