I made an exact recreation of the Newbies and their house from Sims 1 in Sims 4 a few years ago, love having them in my games.
1:52 That is because it isn’t the Newbies from The Sims. It is the Newbies from one of the spin off games, possibly the console version of The Sims 2: Pets.
Just checked and apparently it’s a combination. Bob and Betty are designed after their The Sims (console) versions and Buddy comes from The Sims 2: Pets (console).
I have always heard that Bob and Eliza are Bob and Betty….Makes sense, but not sure whats up with the name change
Wild game lore I learned that the Newbies later turned into the Pancakes
The original Newbie house didn’t even have a stove … only a microwave oven.

That Betty is noticeably from the console game (even without giant shades). Did EA forget which was which?
The reason why EA made Betty more athletic in The Sims 4 is because they were referring to her in the Sims 1 console version. She’s an athletic party animal in that game
I think the Pancakes are supposed to be the “new” Newbies. 🤷🏽♀️ Betty could still be a nick name for Elizabeth…just like Eliza.
That OG Sims 1 Newbie house is so insanely nostalgic I used to play with them so much 😂
You should do a let’s play series where you play every single aspiration and rate them on how fun they are versus how stupid they are. Also, your gameplay makes me laugh so hard. 😂
