It has FINALLY arrived everyone… a playthrough of the next Dark Souls game! Dark Souls Remastered was a masterpiece, and I feel in love with the “Souls” genre almost instantly. With Dark Souls Remastered holding the record on this channel for the longest playthrough, I’m curious to see how the sequel stacks up. And at a grand total of 248 deaths, will Dark Souls II surpass that as well? (Hopefully not…lol).

I’m not sure if the story continues off Dark Souls I, or if this is a complete stand-alone experience, but there is only 1 way to find out, and that’s by getting in here and starting that epic climb to greatness. 🙂

I hope you’ll come along with me as I begin this quest through Dark Souls II, have a fantastic time, and if you do, it would greatly help me out if you’d consider hitting that subscribe button.

Thanks,
Benjamight

  1. I believe in this game below 30% is fast roll and below 70% is mid roll.
There are two vendors for boss weapons. In this one you don't need to fully upgrade a weapon to change it into a boss weapon anymore, it's just an exchange of the soul and a soul amount. I won't tell you exactly where these vendors are, but one is in a place called The Lost Bastille and the other is in one place, then moves to a place called Brightstone Cove. That's all I'll say.

Also, "The nature of your being…"
You should remove your chest armour for a moment at the start of the next episode.

  2. Another halbred playthrough!?…please be more diverse with your characters…halbred is not very entertaining IMO.

  3. Boss souls are WAY BETTER in this game. No "+7 random weapon required. You just need 1. to find the Npc's who can do it 2. Have the soul and the "souls" to buy it. 3. Pick what weapon since I'm pretty sure who you bring it to will offer different weapons. One of them you will probably find in the next few eps. (3/4 hrs)

  4. Oh no, the coffin of genderbending claims another unsuspecting curious soul lmao. It's fine though, you can step back in to revert the effects.
Don't worry about ADP scaling too much, at 16 ADP the agility jumps to 96 so once you hit it you're good to go.
Halberd is fine, but be open to other extra weapons, as the game has more variety, plus durability is a lot smaller so you may not want to run around with only one weapon..

  5. Current death count : 10 (we are keeping the 6 deaths mentioned)
2 deaths in the first episode , 0 in the second , (6 mentioned) and 1 to the big guy in the third and 1 this episode ( to clarify confusion)

    Spoilers :

LET'S GOOOOO , FIRST BOSS FIRST TRY , with a new weapon even ( the halberd returns) . Compared to the first boss in Dark Souls 1 who was in the tutorial area , this one is later on in the game .

The Last Giant was kept prisoner under the fortress after the war between Drangleic and the giants ended , slowly going hollow until you came along . When it saw you it became filled with rage at the point where it pulled itself out of it's hold and even ripped off it's own arm to try and defeat you . Try to keep in mind that it was angry when it saw you specifically .

The coffin changes your gender . In Dark Souls 1 , there was a coffin in the Tomb of Giants that took you directly to a sleeping Nito and you could join his coven . If you see a open coffin , your character will naturaly jump into it .

  6. the only real boss weapon thats worth it is from the paledrake soul you can get letter in the game by beating a boss after using a bonfire aesthitic.

  7. The Last Giant is defeated! Well done on taking him out with your first try. It really came down to the wire there for a moment.

The coffin mechanic at the tutorial area is an interesting one. I'm looking forward to you eventually finding out what it did 😀. Let's just say the run just got a little more.. curvaceous.

Using boss souls to make special weapons has been drastically simplified with DS2. Hold on to your boss souls.

  8. I'm going to say this since there is no way to find out other than finding out on complete accident or being shown. Not all locked doors are locked, some can be broken by hitting them and some can be opened by enemy's.

  9. Super quick guide on how to dual wield (since you have dex it's within your build type)

    1. The weapons you want to dual wield
    2. 50% more stats than needed for base weapon (10 dex = need 15)
    3. Hold Y/triangle, you should go for into what's called "power stance". If you don't, yo either don't have the stats or the weapons aren't compatible.
