Skyrim myth number one: If you read an Elder Scroll underwater, you will be able to walk on the sea floor like it’s dry land. There is one torch in the entire game that casts a shadow. In case you didn’t know, torches in Skyrim usually don’t cast shadows. If you enter Riften without talking to the guards who ask for a bribe, Brynjolf will comment on it.

Took me 3 caves to figure out the shadow torch was crashing my game. It's not friendly to modded games that use lighting mods.

I wonder how many of these “myths” were one off glitches. I’ve had some weird ones before for example I rode a skeleton dragon. It came to attack me near Riften so I used Bend will on it & got to fly it. I recorded it too.
The torch myth was put to rest by Habie147 a few weeks ago. He’s a huge VR YouTuber. And if you haven’t ever played Skyrim VR (with the proper mods to make it playable) you’re missing the greatest VR experience it’s possible to have.

So they fully coded in a torch that casts good looking shadows but decided to just not use it for all of them?
Riften has three gates, a north gate, where the guards tell you you have to pay, a south west gate, if you come from ivarstead to riften where the guards tell you to use the north gate, and theres a south east gate where there are no guards and you can enter riften through there, if you come from fort dawnstar to riften you get to that gate, and brynjolfs dialogue remains as if you persuaded yourself into the city without paying

if you sprint while being ethereal (with that shout) you wont waste any stamina.
It's also the only torch that doesn't weigh anything, therefore the only one I will pack.

The shadow torch is how i found the tragic dead lovers 😭 he went mad in solstheim and his partner traveled there to find him, only to get killed by reavers

You can enter riften through the brewery
You can also ride your horse in water, all you need to do is get off it and on it again while afloat. Your horse will be running through water

if you ride a horse in water, get off then get back on the horse will move as if it’s on land

Of course, the dualogue stays the same. The entire Thieves Guild dialogue is inconsistent, porely written rubbish.

The back way, jail way, dock way, or meadery way, never heard that at all, but probably heard his lines so much that I just ignored it completely
I believe that torch also has unlimited life, whereas others will expire and disappear if held for too long.
