Finding dark souls at the right time in my life changed my perspective of the game and changed my life as a whole.

  1. Hi ! I'm glad I got recommended this video, the image is magnificent, the rythm and lenght was great. Trully a peaceful break, all that I needed, thank you.

  2. 10:10 solaire says "so grossly incandescent" ya numpty

stellar video, thank you for putting it out into the world, you're a very captivating speaker.

  3. Feel exactly this. Sometimes I play dark souls games and cant stand to play for more than 30 minutes. A month later I beat the game in a week and obsess over it.

  4. fantastic video man. i recently restarted dark souls after one year when i had quit. and its hitting hard. very interesting how this is a global phenomenon haha

  5. i barely watch youtube anynore but your vids truly feel like a good use of time, this is another great video 👍

  6. stalker shadow of chernobyl fits this idea imo, the atmosphere is insane and hits even more when you're dealing with isolation and loneliness

  7. I had similar moments with another very tough game. It was not me against the game, it was me against my fears – I against I. It made me the person I am today, sort of speak.

  8. thank you for sharing this. After having to leave university due to mental health challenges I too felt myself going 'hollow'. But, on a day I really needed it, your video gave me that hope, like a well needed bonfire.

  9. Such a resonating sentiment. I'm currently in similar throes right now. I'm not worried, though. I love that these games instill such a passion for patience. Sometimes, you just have to allow yourself some grace and just go with the ebb and flow before an opportunity for action can present itself. In the meantime, having that patience, discipline, and confidence to embrace adversity is such a wonderful learned behavior that carries over in day to day life and motivates me to moderate myself and always do my best in trying to educate myself better about the areas of my life that need improvement. Thank you for this video. Absolutely gorgeous cinematography, by the way.

  10. It's funny when you mention the one friend who insists you play it, because in 2013, working a dumb job and feeling pretty directionless, I got into the game and started telling all my friends about how great it was. This caused one of my (now) best friends to latch on to it the same way, and become the guy who I actively look for games to co-op with.

  11. I had a similar experience. Finishing Sekiro and then Dark Souls was the first time I acomplished something that I thought was beyond me. It opened the path to try new stuff expecting to actually succeed
