   so im still pretty early in the video, about half an hour, but does bae's attentiveness improve? or does she continue to streamerbrain and miss a bunch of visual clues like not picking up items and whatnot? how about trying out all the combat moves to understand the options? or will it be just whatever is expressely spelled out to her?

   The prologue sequence not having any checkpoints is truly brutal.
   1 Hit KO on hard and challenging on normal, with a ~20-25 minute run back to the prologue boss.

    Ugh. I love Bae but I can't watch a majority of her playthroughs because she always does Japanese voices. I understand, because usually the JP voice acting is much better. But, as a viewer who doesn't know Japanese, you have to have your undivided attention on the subs. So I can't watch and work at the same time. Bae also steams for 5+ hours, so even if you are paying attention, you have to for a long time. Anyways, hope you enjoy the game Bae!

    Should have played back in the day, for the real experience of being a old robot fighting a last stand in a hopeless war.

    The constant random unpredictable crashing really emphasized the immersiveness of the experience.

    Eng Dub is…fine…but like every other Yoko Taro game the localization kinda fked up in a few places, and if you don't have the subtitles (which match the english dub) and the JP dub (and enough knowledge to know at least the general gist of what they are saying) then you would never even know. Also, like most other Yoko Taro games, the delivery changes the characters in subtle but significant ways, so that's another reason to be an original voices snob.

    Just as chat said gameplay is comparable to Bayonetta but also plays like Devil May Cry as well with how much freedom you have how you want to dispatch mobs,bosses,etc but of course this being a Yoko Taro game and he loves to add in geeky sh@#& in his games lol the game also has platform sections,side scrolling sections the gameplay is all over the place as you progress.

    Now quick hot take incoming I would love this game more if people didn't praise nor hail 2overratedB as the "win all,take all" waifu to ever been created when I can pull up a list of female characters that have her beat but you do you plus I just prefer Replicant over Automata for reasons.

    WHile I'm on that I hope by the end of this game Bae considers playing Nier Replicant next this is where my thought process might be weird to some but soundtrack wise I LOVE this game and the gameplay but STORY wise again I prefer Nier Replicant and I consider it the best of the 2 story wise but shockingly Nier Replicant's soundtrack is the weakest aspect for me there are a FEW tracks from Replicant I like but Automata has way more tracks I like by comparison.

    Its because of the unnecessary 2B praise why I won't be watching the vod much even (yes my "hate" for this game goes that far lol) but I will still glance at the screen here and there cuz I do like certain aspects of the game just not for the same reasons most people do obviously.

    Plus hey Bae's first time playing another GOOD RPG game from the early 2000s era? Ain't no way I'm passing that up also fun fact Persona 5 (which bae played a while back on this channel) came out either exactly or almost the same time as this game did so at the time of this game's release (2005 to be exact if my memory is correct) it had competition with Persona 5.

    Also I couldn't help but notice some people in chat freaking out the moment "Bipolar Nightmare" started playing yet ready…..hot take in 3….2….1 its not the best track in the game not even close for me its City Ruins (every iteration of it and the track that comes up after this fight),Song of the Ancients (in particular the vocal version for me),Sound of the End(music that plays at the start of one of the later playthroughs),End of the Unknown and A Beautiful Song are by far THE best overall tracks in Automata idk Bipolar Nightmare just doesn't have the same OOMPH the other tracks do but that's just me

    Also to try to simplify it as best I can if Bae ever actually reads this she actually played the Nier games out of order cuz Nier Replicant is the remaster of the original japanese release of the ORIGINAL Nier (known only as "Nier" in the states,Nier Gestalt as it was called in the Japanese ver) it acts as the prequel obviously to this one so she SHOULD'VE started with Replicant first its not "spoiling" this game if she plays Replicant first I would disagree with that one person in chat.

    Its only spoiling Nier Automata if one has enough context of Automata's story and assuming this is Bae's first ever Nier game in general I highly doubt that would be the case but that's just me.

    Plus again I would've loved to watch her play Replicant first cuz I prefer Replicant over Automata for reasons but I'll leave it at that for now there are also slight differences between the american and japanese versions of the OG Nier but I'll also refrain from mentioning that for now cuz I would also be somewhat spoiling the story of both versions.

              Thank you for this stream, Bae. Despite being sick and in pain, you delivered a 5 hour stream. It has been a month since then, so hope you got better.
              This is the first time I heard of Nier, so going in blind, or so I thought. The game has a nice visual style.
              The boss battles are fun, but the normal battles, the camera angle sometimes messes up and you don't know where you are, XD. Though, this exact reason makes the boss battle fun.
