Hey Guys! We are really happy you enjoyed the video and for those wondering about the armor mod mentioned in the video, the one that changes the Silver Hand appearence, here is the link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30051 ENJOY!
I've been playing skyrim again and watching YouTube on it….your vid popped up in my feed.
Interesting take. I always liked the concept of the silver hand and this a phenomenal take. I'm deff checking out that mod as well.
Well written and presented.
Crazy video my nigga
In my opinion, I think that Bethesda should REMASTER, rather than simply release Skyrim, and finish these cut contents. Lord knows, we need so many bug fixes too.
Alot of the silver hand are vampires though, at least have vampire dust on corpse some of their eyes seem vampire like
This just popped up in my recommended again. How is this 4 years old already?! Great video as always it caught me as I'm about to start a run in the Tempus Maledictum list. It's time to kill some Silverhand.
In a way, Hircine was revealing the truth of the Companions irrespective of their notion of "honor." Essentially, the Companions are mercenaries. They use the concept of honor to justify their action, but they lack the spirit of honor itself. I think Kodlack was starting to see that, but he was so focussed on Hircine being the cause that he did not understand the real problem. That the Companions embraced Hircine so willingly showed that its their love of the fight, the chase, the hunt that truly drove them. Not honor. Hircine always seems to be a force for progress both because people become become better for fighting against him and because they learn so much about themselves that they wouldn't learn otherwise. The difference between Hircine and Boethia is that Hircine seems to help people define what honor means to them, while Boethia denies its very exsistance.
I mean there is one way that u can have werewolf powers temporarily the ring of hircine u can use it once a day and u dont stay as werewolf if u dont use it xD
The only reason I became a werewolf in Skyrim was because I got tired of constantly becoming a vampire and having to go get cured
Silver hand expanded mod when?
Hardly fair to blame Sinding or even his lycanthropy for the child's death – he in particular was compelled to violence by Hircine as punishment for taking Hircine's ring
Honestly I thought that they were a splinter faction for a while now, however they killed Kodlak and that was unforgivable. I am a stealth archer player but after they kill Kodlak I go into full berserker mode and just hack and slash every single one of them. I have no mercy for them and I don't care why they did what they did. When I read Kodlak's journal the first time I sobbed and I cry every time I replay the companions questline. That's the reason why I cure him before beating the main questline so that I can see him in Sovngarde and watch him enter Shor's hall. The silver hand is a seriously underdeveloped faction and that's likely Bethesda's laziness shining through but they do hint at being a companions split faction even in base game w/o DlCs. I like the werewolf playthrough but honestly I cure myself after the dragonborn DLC because I like doing the quest with the other werewolves on Solstheim.
Man a miss opportunity to join either Companions or Silver Hand
Could've been like Dawnguard for WearWolves
Now a hope someone made a mod in this regard
The Silverhand could have been so cool, instead they just got the standard bandit treatment.
I mean the simple answer to their interest in gathering wuuthrad fragments is simply bc they know the companions are after them and are using them as bait to try and kill off the circle members.
As for the diologue ive never heard it but i wouldnt be surprised if it was due to a mod or like some have said they use it as a targeted taunt to try and upset their opponent knowing it would piss them off.
What if the silver hand want the shards because the only way to cure the companions is by returning the axes to the statue and gaining entry to the tomb?
I like the idea that they're a splinter faction. But I also would like a third option that gets the Silver Hand and Companions to work together to fully purge hircine's influence from the Companions faction if there was a storyline to also potentially join them instead.
10:02 I have a fondness for this scene because I had it bugged out on me and Farkas wasn't transforming, instead he just beat them up with his bare hands. Made it into a video like 10 years ago.
To point out how much absolutely undercooked this questline is on top of everything else, Silver Hand comments on the Wolf Armor Farkas is supposed to wear, but he's wearing a regular Steel Armor so it doesn't make sense.
The entire story given by Kodlac is stupid. Nothing but their own belief forces them to become werewolves in order to become part of the circle. All they had to do was stop doing that and the curse would have been broken long ago.
