In our latest Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video we discuss what we believe is the MOST tragic city in all of Skyrim! Windhelm certainly looks cool, but after lots of thinking and consideration, we probably wouldn’t want to spend much time there. In this video you will meet the faces of Windhelm, hear their stories, and perhaps get an insight into this Skyrim city that you may not have previously thought about. Just keep your wits about you, for Calixto could be lurking around any corner!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series and was released worldwide on November 11, 2011. The game’s main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim.

At FudgeMuppet, we uncover the elder scrolls lore secrets that make this game so sensational, and in this video we’re going to be diving into all of the events in Windhelm! We’ll talk to the richest families and the poorest dock workers, piecing together their stories and building a picture of it all which proves that this city is sad no matter where you look. We do have many Skyrim mods on display which enhance the appearance of Skyrim’s cities, and if you were to look at vanilla Skyrim, particularly the Gray Quarter, it is far less festive than shown in this video. If you think about it, this only strengthens the message of the video. It is also worth noting, which is talked about towards the end of the video, that even if you decide to take over the city with the Empire and wipe out the Stormcloaks, all you do is shift around the vibes and emotions in the city, as opposed to actually improving them.

  1. I really enjoyed this video ! Can you make a whole series of these. Like with each city the storylines ?

  2. When I go to windhelm. Seeing how Sofie is trying to provide for herself despite her family being gone, I always adopt her and give her a kinder existance in the Manor. Can't say I am able to ignore the kid suffering in a place so cold and desperate as Windhelm.

  3. Honestly the stormcloaks reminds me so much of trump supporters for some reason

  4. Lmao how does it make any sense for the high dkfss living in windhelm to be treated less badly than the dark elves? You'd think with how prejudiced the birds are they would hate all high elves even more being that they make up the entire thalmor army.

  5. I am new to Skyrim and despise the cruelty of Markarth but Windhelm is heartbreaking. I found on a cold, cold night young Sophie sleeping on the stones in a barely windless nook. Just… yeh.

  6. After finding out i am the cause of suicide I've reset the quest in the console to redo it, im a dragonborn and akhavier is a god of time so its lore friendly, i asked for a favour 😭
Edit: turns out just using resetquest broke my game so i reloaded and then took about 3 hours researching how to undo the action of offing nilsine, i then found fallrims i think its called and then watched a video on it and changed a few variables in the dark brotherhood related files and then in game i use player.placeatme command to get nilsine and tova to come back and now finally i don't have to live with killing them

  7. The Nord's attitude towards the outsiders is their right. Skyrim is their ancestral home won through the blood and sweat of their forebears. The elves are their historic enemies and Argonians are hardly any better than elves. At the end of the day, Skyrim is the Nords' land, and it is for the Nords to protect from outsiders, which the Falmer could not.

  8. Windhelm is so dickass they reward you for solving a string of murders that they were doing nothing about by letting you live in the crime scene

  9. I think the point is everyone is stunted and ruined by hate, even if everyone has a legitimate claim to be wronged in their own way. Hate chokes and kills everything and Windhelm is a perfect example of that.

  10. I'm addicted to this vid for some reason. Can you do other cities to. Like the chars and what their daily routine looks like
