Time for a second trip to Annihilation Nation to win more challenges.

Plotwise, the focus is to win another gauntlet, and then a boss battle against a brainy bot called Scorpio.

(Hmmm… Reminds me of the B2 Brawler…)

There’s a Skill Point you can get called “Bash the bug”, if you can beat Scorpio with only the Omniwrench. However, I wanna do this later, once I’ve picked up stronger armors.

After beating Scorpio, Ratchet & Clank get their grand prize by Courtney Gears: the 3rd Qwark Vid-Comic.

Ratchet, even with knowing at this point that this popstar is associated with Dr. Nefarious, was so nervous to talk to her in person.

Courtney, on the other hand, seeing Ratchet as a “Squishie”, pushed him aside to flirt with “Secret Agent” Clank instead. Clank tried to get Courtney to tell him Nefarious’ whereabouts.

Clank then convinced her that she can be a part of one of his series’ holo-films in exchange for telling him where Nefarious is. They are to meet up at Holostar Studios where Clank’s Secret Agent films are filmed.

The rest of this video has me take on more gauntlet and battle challenges. This can get pretty redundant at times, but all of those Bolts prizes and the EXP gained for your Nanotech health and weapons will ALWAYS be worth it.

Some challenges make you clear them with a single weapon, while others will make you cycle through all of the weapons you currently have in a random order, swapping them as soon as your current one runs out of its very limited ammo.

Other challenges may induce a “Lombax Sleep Mist” effect where your health slowly drains as if you were actually poisoned.

And then there are longer challenges such as “Championship Bout II” which will apply these different rules and restrictions in different rounds, and often include a boss fight or two eventually.

The last of this kind of challenge is the “Qwarktastic Battle”, a gigantic 100 round bout. I suggest waiting on this one.

I dedicate this section of this description to talk about the Lava Gun.

This hot weapon was (ironic to say) one of the coolest weapons to use in Going Commando, burning enemies with a steady stream of ultra-hot magma.

However, when this upgraded and evolved into the Meteor Gun in that game, its use got so much worse at it now instead launched thick chunks of hard magma that wasn’t as satisfying to kill with.

To make up for this, fully upgrading the Lava Gun in Up Your Arsenal instead turns it into the Liquid Nitrogen Gun. It keeps its streamy properties, but now its a blue weapon that shoots a stream that FREEZES enemies on contact before they shatter apart.

This is MUCH better than the Meteor Gun! REDEMPTION!
