I love the Goth house. I think the shape of it is so cool. I love the sweeping staircase and it should not be spoiled by adding a bathroom. The kitchen could be improved by using the available space better.

Only thing I dislike about the main menu is that particular blue with that particular green. Idk why, the colors span their entire brand but I hate the combination 😅
Not a fan of the new Home Screen, seems off compared to the rest of the game, the graphic design choice ain’t it in my opinion, however the houses are an interesting touch except the goth house wasn’t it as well
I'm not one to hand out free praise to the Sims, but the new menu is really nice, and way easier on the eyes (as someone who uses exclusively dark mode everywhere else). Also, like I've seen other people saying – I don't have a lot of packs, so it's nice not to be immediately bombarded with sale CTAs every time I open the game!
On the houses, the use of platforming and terrain tools make a MASSIVE difference – I absolutely love the Roomies house bathroom, the Zest stage and the sunken lounge in the other one

Let's be honest the old main menu was absolutely awful like ew
I know it doesn't happen for sims but I just imagine the ammount of times the roomies have tripped over those platforms trying to get to their bathrooms at night.
I wish that the landgraab house had a third bedroom for the lore, it feels like there should have been space for Johnny Zest, perhaps a bedroom that looks very empty or something. I added a pool house to their house to serve this purpose.
I really like the new menu. It kinda has 2000s vibes and it's much less messy and overwhelming with ads and news.

Not gonna lie, I love that they finally made new houses for the Townies. Imo, it's been more desperately needed than the outfit refreshes that happened a while ago, especially for the Goth family
The old Goth house just didn't hit the vintage Victorian vibe for me, especially with the roof being completely flat, and the asymmetry of the build. It just felt very rushed and thrown together. Now there's cohesion and so, so much more life in the space!

The Goth house is lack luster. i wish they were on a bigger lot and the kitchen was bigger. the upstairs living area needs something. the house seems so unfinished on the inside.
2,000 years later, and TS4 finally has a functional BASE game… Christ.
the store page is so much better now cus it puts the packs you dont have on top so its easier to see
I honestly think the new menu is great, it's sleeker, looks better, all those pesky info screens/ads are no longer front and center and they've put more emphasis on what should be the center of attention: the game
Now I'm curious what will I see with my home wrecker sim when I log into that… since he is living with Bella and the kids. I only changed the furniture I think. 🙂
The one changed is only the main menu. The other ones are just the same. Loading screen is still the same (at least in mine, after I updated the game)
This all looks great and all, but why does the Spencer-Lewis household have four chairs in their kitchen when they're with 5 family members….
Oh… i absolutely despise the new menu. I think it is genuinely one of the ugliest things I've seen in my life. Im sorry, it's just hiddeous imo
These new houses are wonderful! I am so happy! The best ones are Spencer-Kim-Lewis and the Landgraabs.
I have visual processing issues so the new main menu being way less cluttered is actually great for me!

I feel you on the changes being painful despite liking it, I'm not big on change whether it's good or bad, but I'm happy to have nicer houses in the base game and a cooler menu!

The goth house seemed very rushed. A few of the interiors seemed very rushed, but the goths seem like they have gotten the worst. It seemed like they are poor now
it really feels like the goth house was built by someone different to the rest of them, the floorplan is much worse than the rest of the builds

IMO, the Goth house can't be done justice with basegame, when Vampires/Strangerville/Life and Death have items that work so much better. So while the new house is a better layout, the white spandrels and columns you were complaining about will definitely get swapped for a black from one of those packs in my game.
