  1. Tailing mission – the bane of most AC players – but in some ways I like them because they require some thinking/problem solvingd to get through them.

  2. A quick correction about my last comment – the coordinate DOES in fact, mean the whole location, BUT it's still meant to move dynamically on the ocean map, just not while you are loaded in an actual level. So I was half-wrong. So this could still be an issue since some treasures might be on isolated islands and not named locations, so finding them without controller could be hard.

As for parkour, I'm definitely noticing him being a bit unruly at times as I replay the game. Which is more so a problem with this specific freerun system compared to og games (at least to my, admittedly imperfect memory), rather than controller vs keyboard, as it happens on both. It's just not very consistant with what it expects from your inputs. Sometimes it's fine to just hold Shift and move, other times you do have to force him with Spacebar, outside of obvious long-distance jumps. Othertimes I guess it's just a terrain that messes him up and he just becomes really confused.
A little trick the game probably doesn't teach you – if you use Spacebar an enemy (the move that breaks defence) in combat twice in a row, you'll trip them for an insta-kill by a following attack. really good for brutes, since you can't parry them.
Let's just say, all Mayan Stones contribute to an optional thing, which may or may not be worth it to you wink wink nudge nudge
Will XEI ever figure out the swivel guns to shoot marked spots on the ship? will he shoot the hull instead of the sails? will he stop putting down markers by accident? the true questions. Also not having a 3rd pistol is crazy, you can craft it as early as reaching Nassau, just needed to do a bit more hunting, the upgrades can be bought out of order. Also, you CAN already do harpoon hunting, if you are curious about it, just gotta find the spot 🙂

Also, maybe don't bother with the floating people if you crew bar is full, since collecting excess doesn't contribute to anything.
Yay, you looked up the contextual ship weapon stuff, now I have to remove my entire tip XD.

Also, yup, here we go with the ship tailing missions XD. Just how many tailing did you have to do this episodes alone, haha. first on land, then on water.

  3. Plantations – enemies at them do respawn and they can be looted multiple times as a very lucrative source of funds. Synchornizing the location yields the map so that re-looting them becomes a quick and easy task.

  4. By now, you should be catching on that – since Edward is a pirate, there are many different ways to grind for cash to buy upgrades and other things like paying for dancers and such. The grinding really doesn't have to feel like a grind at all.

Also, you don't have to actually kill 2 animals of every type to upgrade since you will be able to buy skins from vendors as well (although some can be exceptionally expensive and, of course, those same hides can be exceptionally valuable to sell.

Finally, why don't you use the swinging rope to exit your ship? It's inviting you by glowing every time you're near to your swivel guns and using it looks much cooler than falling into the water. I laugh every time the your crewmen shout "Captain's salting himself."
