I can guarantee they didn't even start working on it and were just sitting on their ass the last decade.
If elder scrolls 6 was an exclusive they would lose money there not gunna let that money slide especially if there releasing free to xbox
After the track record from Bethesda the last few games, I don’t have high hopes for this game.
Think the quests will be lackluster and everything is creating an engine on life support.

They didn’t put out a new trailer or even a slice of gameplay? That probably means the game is at least 5 years away.
Knowing the scale in Bethesda games that sea 03:34 will be about as big as a large stream thats about to turn into a river and is woefully unsuited for ship gameplay considering it will take up the whole thing.

Going off of the teaser trailer the area seen does actually resemble closely the coast that seperates hammerfell and highrock the reason for this is that there are 3 points that jut out of the landmass which lines up geographically with the map of tamriel and specifically hammerfell
