This is a movie edit of the video game Ghost of Tsushima. The Samurai Jin Sakai utilizes unconventional methods to help defend Tsushima Island against the Mongol invasion. This video has been formatted to look best in HDR, but a custom grade has been used to make sure the SDR version looks fantastic as well.
If you’ve never seen my work before, my goal is to present the story of the video game in a way where anybody can enjoy it, whether they’ve played the game before or not, and even if they don’t play video games at all. The primary focus here is on telling the story, not showcasing every element of the game. I want to make sure there’s enough stuff here that nobody will be lost, but not so much that the viewer becomes bored with an experience that feels more game like than movie like. So I make sure there are no plot holes, but also keep gameplay down to the minimum necessary to enjoy the story at a good pace.
Some missions have been cut, and some missions are shortened to focus only on the most important parts relevant to the story. So this is neither a cutscene compilation, nor is it a full let’s play / walkthrough. It’s somewhere in between. Another big part of my process is removing as many “game indicator” distractions as possible. While this game provides an “Expert Mode” HUD option which minimizes some HUD elements, there were still plenty of HUD elements that remained. This required extensive use of VFX, with 317 VFX shots total, representing over 80 minutes of the movie, or approximately 35% of the gameplay.

Technically Jin was not breaking honor or tradition given that code was not even a thing historically until 200-300 years later
So in truth he broke no honor code and also historically the jito and his forces held off the Mongols at komoda beach for a day almost two days
My point is that it was not farfetched for Japanese warriors during 1270's to be sneaky and such cause honor aka bushido was not a thing yet
Of course this game is historical fantasy so some liberties were taken to make it more epic
If I was Jin I would spare Shimura too
Like I said in early comment honor was not a thing yet historically, so Jin sparing him would not be dishonorable
Plus the almost proud smile Shimura gives if you do indicates and implies that he is proud of Jin.
Jin walks his own path and Shimura in a sense wanted that for him and also proud cause even despite accusing him of having no honor that Jin has more honor that he even as the ghost never broke the code
Also I think Shimura would try his best to keep the Shogun and his army from hunting Jin and his allies as long as he could
Also I think that he finds out what jin does on Iki island and likely proudly smiling hearing the news
