[Teri dances all the way.] Riley: I gave you guys two weeks until you are back together. Jace: Not gonna happen. Riley: She uh… say something to you? Jace: Make it one week. Teri: Riley! Hey! What took you so long? Riley: Well, I’m here, aren’t I? Jace: Teri. Teri: Jace. (to Riley) C’mon. Jace: Hey, don’t forget we’re headin’ out early, so get some rest! Teri: Yes, sir. Riley: You’re such a dick.
Teri: Come on. Don’t you start with me. Okay, I have a very serious question for you. How bad do I smell? Riley: (takes a sniff) Like a hot pile of garbage. Teri: Oh! Okay. Ugh! How about that? (hugs her) Riley: Gross. Teri: You love it. Riley: Every guy in this room is staring at you right now. Teri: Maybe they’re staring at you. Riley: They’re not. Teri: Maybe they’re jealous of you. Riley: I’m… just a girl. Not a threat. Teri: (fixing Riley’s hair) Oh, Riley… I think they should be terrified of you. [They kiss. Riley smiles. Tate approaches them.]
Tate: This is a family event. Riley: (smiles) Sorry. Sorry! [They are going away.] Tate: Remember the next time there’s kids around. Teri: Yeah, like you’re setting such a great example. Tate: Oh, just what this town needs. Another loud-mouthed dyke. [Riley’s turns around. She’s full of rage.] Riley: What the fuck did you just say? Teri: Riley! Riley, don’t! Dipper: Hey! (pushes Tate) Get the hell outta here. Tate: Get your hands off me. Mermando: Hey! Enough. Come on, you. Let’s go for a walk. Tate: What about them? Mermando: You worry about yourself. Mabel: Let’s get you some fresh air. [They leave the party.] Dipper: You all right, sweetie…? Riley: What is wrong with you? Dipper: He had no right– Riley: And you do? I don’t need your help, Dad. Dipper: (walking away) Right.

This entire scene captures that first love moment when you're growing up, the way Ellie is watching Dina across the room, the dance, the silly banter and then the first kiss.❤
My favourite scene in Part 2. I absolutely LOVE the dialogue just before the kiss… "I'm just a girl… not a threat" and then her reply "oh Ellie… I think they should be terrified of you" and kiss – absolutely beautiful writing… I can't fucking wait to see this in season 2. I love this franchise SO much.
Notice how when Joel pushes Seth at 3:45 , Ellie steps up just in case Seth does fight back. She’s so used to having Joel’s back she can’t turn it off , even in anger.
As everyone else had said, it’ll be great to see this scene recreated by Pedro, Bella and Isabela. But I also hope they do a better job with Joel’s death. They should space it out a bit because he was killed off too soon
In reality if we lived in a world where most human beings are either dead or infected things like homosexuality would not be tolerated in a small community. Right now we have the luxury of being with whoever we want but in a world with a low population all the young women in Jackson would be paired up with men and start having as many babies as possible while. It’s not what the feminists want to hear but it’s the truth.

I just noticed Dina has some sweat stains on her clothes from dancing so much. The attention to detail in Naughty Dog games is crazy.
