80% of my time spent "playing" skyrim is looking for mods, installing mods, and trying to get the game to run with those mods.
Skyrim wouldn't be so loved and so replayed if it wasn't for the incredible drop in the quality of so many legacy game companies since it came out. Bethesda is only one of several companies that used to put out gold, but now shovel crap into our faces and crow about how great it is.
If things like Fallout 4, Starfield, Mass Effect Andromeda, Dragon Age Inquisition and Veilguard, and so many other games that I can't even remember right now they were so forgettable, weren't absolute garbage, a barely good enough game like Skyrim wouldn't be so beloved. It's that sweet spot between looks like crap and is written like crap, where it looks/plays better than the old, well written games, but hasn't fallen to the curse of looks pretty but has writing my 7 yr old nephew could improve on that we are in today.
I always thought it was odd that a dragon saves you, then you go around through the entire game killing dragons. Talk about a walking contradiction.
The Thieves' Guild is even worse than how you painted it. Becoming a Nightingale is because Karliah says 'we need Nocturnal's power to fight Mercer' but you only get a power after Mercer is already dead!
A terrible game and I’m continually baffled at how lauded it remains because everything in-game created by the devs is shoddy and boring. BUT, I can understand it makes an excellent sandbox for anybody to install 500 mods and play out their wildest fantasy. I’ve come to terms with that being the reason it will remain beloved. 😅

For those who don’t know, you can mine by simply equipping your pickaxe, and swinging it at the rock like you’re attacking the rock. Much faster.
Dude i loved morrowind so much. It was so much more interesting. Obviously the gameplay is not even comparable to Skyrim because of how long ago Morrowind was made but it was just so good.

Anyone else try to get into Skyrim multiple times yet always drops it for some reason? I’ve bought the game three times on sale convinced I’d enjoy it as it’s the kind of game I’d think I like. A open fantasy RPG. For reference I loved Kingdoms of Amalur, Dragons Dogma.
I think it’s the writing and the combat, it just doesn’t do anything for me.

First pearson rpgs are just not for me.looks good looks interesting but you as a character that dont speak feels stupid and outdated,imagine playing witcher 3 and geralt doesnt say a word for whole game
Honestly? I can forgive most of the issues with this game. So much nostalgia in this game. But the main reason I can forgive this game is because the soundtrack is so amazing. The music, combined with my very first trek up to bleak falls barrow, looking off the edge at the amazing looking scenery just made me fall in love with the game immediately. Definitely has its flaws, but this game is legendary in my eyes.
Idk I love this game really nothing can recreate the Skyrim feeling for me. It has lots of flaws but I think it’s miles above “mediocre”

There are lots of neat side quests and daedric missions in Skyrim, but the guild quests chains are annoying and rudimentary.
I don’t get all the hype over any of the elder scrolls games. I’m not even sure how Bethesda is considered a great when they are a one hit wonder with Skyrim a game that’s over hyped and honestly ain’t even that good when you wanna compare it to games like mass effect, the Witcher, dragon age, pillars of enterity, BG3, Divintiy original sin 2 are all 1000000000000x better then Skyrim. Old school BioWare was better than old and current Bethesda lmao. Star-field wasn’t a total failure but wasn’t good either compared to let’s say Skyrim. But in my opinion Morrow-wind sucks, oblivion was ok but after watching your video on it I don’t think it’s worth my time. Fallout 3 is good, 4 is eh but I did beat the whole game and DLC. Idk if I’d replay any of the fallouts tho. All Bethesda games are games with the illusion of choice. All the games I mentioned above are legit games where choices matter and have consequences that affect the world dialogue the story multiple endings, those are good RPG’s in the kings of RPG genre. You old school players can stick to your garbage if y’all still think any Bethesda titles is better than any I mention, I live in reality y’all can still in the past. Fallout and elder scrolls are still good I’m not saying they aren’t but they are heavily over hyped, only game I’ll argue that isn’t over hyped even with all the bugs is Vegas and that wasn’t even made by Bethesda 😂😂😂😂
