Wanted to finally check out the MGS series, starting with the most recent and (arguably) the best entry in the series: MGS 5: Phantom Pain! Does it still hold up?

I produce gaming content on my channel, consisting of many story games, from old to new releases. I focus on videos where I give an in depth review and my thoughts on a certain game/series.
There’s created playlists for each game series I’ve put out videos on, including every assassins creed, far cry, resident evil, etc. Some of my all time favorites being Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last Of Us Part 1/2, many Assassin’s Creed games and Ghost Of Tsushima.
If you’d like to recommend any games I’ve yet to check out, let me know in the comments of a video!

Found your channel a few minutes ago crazy to catch a fresh upload I like the content I’ve seen so far
Great video! Metal Gear Solid is my favorite game series ever, I would love to hear your thoughts on the other games; the stories, characters, and themes are so relevant and moving while at the same time being over the top!
I would recommend release order starting with MGS1 cause it’s a good starting point for the story and keeps many of the plot twists / reveals intact. Although the 8-Bit games are canon they’re a little dated and hard to play, but if you get around to them, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake in particular I would highly recommend!
Man if you think Phantom Pain is a neat stealth game you should wait for the remake of snake eater. It's by far the best one followed by mgs4. I'll guarantee you that you will remember these games as unique milestones in gaming history.
What I like the most about MSG5 is the controls. They are so good one might think Big Boss move even before touching the analog stick. It's so easy to do tricks and fight that it's strange no other software company tried to copy MGS5 controls.
Just came on sale on PlayStation. This video made me decide to purchase it. Thank you for your service
Awesome video. for me kojima is such a overrated director with overly saturated colors and themes and camera work. I never was a big fan of his work or the characters that he came up with. Nevertheless, as you mentioned in your video, the game play and how fluent they are from the animation and mechanics perspectives, just amazes me … And that has nothing to do with kojima but the talents and artists that he works with.
I did my best to relate with his other titles as well such as death stranding, But unfortunately after a while they became tedious, dull and repetitive.
anyway, keep up the good work man.
Bought it used… after a while i bought ghost recon breakpoint… much better imo. All this over the top demon/zombie-creature stuff is too much. Also this japanese cringe like with the posters on the magic box. And this „story“ that your men tell at motherbase that you’re called „big boss“ bc you’ve „surpassed“ the woman called „the boss“ 🤦🏼♂️ cringe…
Yes, everyone should play MGSV
To be honest with you bro, if you’ve never played a metal year game before it’s not that the story is bad this game takes place early in the timeline in between a lot of games so that’s probably why it didn’t make a lot of sense to you. It’s not really no offense. It’s pretty awesome gripping although I’m not a fan of the plot twist like many metal gear fans.
I love Metal Gear Solid 5 I must've replayed it now 20 times at least and I still love playing it one critique though it really needs a new game+ so you can keep the money equipment weapons and companion equipment that you've already unlocked.
Loved MSG5 when i played it years ago, but when I went to replay it recently I was put off by the clumsy movement, the paucity of biomes (only the same 2 small sections of Afghanistan and Africa), weird fake weapons, and the excessive storytelling (awesome first playthrough, not so much 3rd or 4th.) I keep Wildlands and Breakpoint installed and play missions a few times a week, but this game I prefer to just remember fondly.
i got it two years after the game came out and i’ve replayed it about 5 times only got to 80 to 90% most times but after 2020 i got tired of it and i had found ghost recon wild lands and that game is chefs kiss in most parts, but i took the skills from mgsv and used it in wild lands and they worked beautifully. i’m probably gonna restart a mgsv save tonight 👨🦽
Is really worth to play an "unfinished" game?
Should I get this or Ghost recon (wildlands, breakpoint) on sale?
