  1. It scary to lose a baseball in the sun when your face is exposed looking up to the sky with the damn thing falling in the neighborhood you're in. Nice catch with the grace of God.
    ❤⚾

  2. The moment just before the catch you can see that he does spot it at the last second and it startles him pretty good. That's why they drill over and over, so in that split second moment they act on instinct instead of decision making.

  3. AND THEN TWO DAYS LATER DETROIT VS MARINERS REEVES LOSES THE BALL AND LET IT DROP LESS THEN A FOOT NEXT TO HIM😂😂😂

  4. While practicing or playing baseball as a kid; when someone made a lucky catch like that.. we would yell at them, " Happy Birthday!! " 🎂 😂

  5. Sight. Sound. Shadow. When most players take the field they check their shadow: knowledgeable fans understand why!

  6. Playing third base years ago, a batter hit a line drive to the shortstop side. I just dove and stuck my glove out and it buried straight into the pocket. I didn't really know I'd caught it till after I hit the ground.

  7. I had some oakley mframe mumbos in highschool that helped catch many balls that would have been lost in the sun.

  8. I’ve had this happen to me playing shortstop. Saw the ball go up into the sun, never saw it come down. Had my glove and empty hand out and it fell into my empty hand. Was able to hold onto it.

  9. Definitely lost it ….
.suddenly it' dropped luckily in front of his face. a couple of inches might have been a painful miss.
