The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Chicago White Sox 13-9 during the Home Opener at PNC Park on April 9, 2023. Bryan Reynolds homered for a league-leading fifth time and Carlos Santana notched his first homer as a Pirate. Dauri Moreta struck out two and picked up the win in a relief effort.

Sox blow!! Fk the Southsiders. Go Pirates from a Cubs fan. One of my favorite ballparks in all of MLB and my favorite uniforms in all of baseball as well. I love my Cubs home and grey visiting unis but the pirates colors and everything are top notch. GL this year and see y'all soon.
