God damn that was a beautiful opener. Cole looked like the monster we wanted, Judge showed us why he is our captain, Gleybar showing life in him still, Volpe with a great debut, NO HICKS, and most importantly in my opinion is a healthy DJ.

It couldn’t have gone any better than that for the Yankees. Cole pitched like an ace and was lights out. The bullpen nailed it down without allowing a run. The rookie Anthony Volpe contributed by getting a walk and a stolen base. Gleyber hit a two run shot and the captain Aaron Judge did what he always does hit a bomb to set the tone and got an extra RBI for good measure. I know that it is opening day but how can I help but be excited after that performance from the Yankees yesterday.

it’s incredible how much volpe reminds me of jeter when he came up back in 95 ‘ 96 ‘ he carries himself just like jeter , great to finally see this kid with the big club !!
