About MLB.com:
Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig announced on January 19, 2000, that the 30 Major League club owners voted unanimously to centralize all of Baseball’s internet operations into an independent technology company. Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) was formed and charged with developing, building and managing the most comprehensive baseball experience available on the internet. In August 2002, MLB.com streamed the first-ever live, full length MLB game when the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees faced off at Yankee Stadium. Since that time, millions of baseball fans around the world have subscribed to MLB.TV, the live video streaming product that airs every game in HD to nearly 400 different devices. MLB.com also provides an array of mobile apps for fans to choose from, including At Bat, the highest-grossing iOS sports app of all-time. MLB.com features a stable of club beat reporters and award-winning national columnists, the largest contingent of baseball reporters under one roof, who deliver over 100 original articles every day. MLB.com also offers extensive historical information and footage, online ticket sales, official baseball merchandise, authenticated memorabilia and collectibles and fantasy games.

Major League Baseball consists of 30 teams split between the American and National Leagues. 1. Longtime Royals fan here..this was a great series funny thing after KC won I find myself really respecting and liking the Mets and their fans. But nope, NEVER the Yankees.

  2. I watched the Royals win the World Series in 1985 when I was 26 years old. Now after seeing them win the World Series again in 2015, and not only that, but the quality of the games was outstanding. I will probably never see another World Series win by my Royals in this lifetime, but I've seen 2 Chiefs Super Bowl wins & 2 Kansas City Royals wins. I'm a pretty lucky fan I guess 💓

  3. That 9th Inning was the end of Matt Harvey’s career.

His hubris and pride got the better of him.

  4. If you look at the 2015 Royals' roster on Baseball Reference, it's unbelievable that they not only won a championship but nearly won two in a row. Salvador Perez was their only player who's even remotely close to being a Hall of Famer one day, and even he wasn't amazing back then.

  5. It is August 16, 2022. I just watched the last at bat in the game. I still get teary eyed. Man, I love this team. I can't wait to get back to the World Series.

  6. I honestly think had the Mets not told Matt Harvey he's not pitching the 9th inning then the Mets would have won. No matter how good the athlete, telling them they're out of the game, no matter what they say about being able to, takes them out mentally. And that is the difference between a shutout win and losing in extras

  7. that umpire on the last pitch got him out because he wanted to sleep "Out, Imma head out" LOL!

  8. I wish we could go back😭
But hey, 129 days until spring training starts😂

An update 2 months later, 54 more days until spring training! It’s coming around the corner yall.😂

  9. As a Dodger fan i like to pretend that the Royals are the Dodgers and it fills me with a little joy. 😅 PS. 2020 don’t count
