Michael Wacha took the bump as we opened up our second matchup with Detroit this season. Michael Massey started our scoring in the second inning by mashing his fifth home run of the season to right field, which ended Reese Olson’s streak of not giving up a homer in 54 innings. In the bottom of the third, Vinnie Pasquantino drew a walk, followed by consecutive singles from Salvador Perez and Massey to move Pasquantino over. Thanks to a throwing error from Detroit catcher Jake Rogers, Pasquantino ran home while Perez moved to third and Massey to second. Wacha kept the Tigers scoreless until the 4th-inning, when they tacked one run on the board. The Royals offense was electric in the 6th-inning with Perez winning a 10-pitch AB by smoking a ball 436 feet to left-center field. Massey then doubled, and Freddy Fermin followed up with a single to score Massey. MJ Melendez moved Fermin to third with a single of his own, followed by a double from Hunter Renfroe to score both Fermin and Melendez. Kyle Isbel drew a walk and moved to third, thanks to a single from Maikel Garcia. Pasquantino hit a sacrifice fly to score Isbel, and that left the Royals with 8 runs at the end of the 6th. Wacha stayed strong through seven innings, and Tyler Duffey and Chris Stratton came in to finish the game strong. The Kansas City Royals are now sitting at 30-19.

Let’s go ROYALS!!!
TBAPSB Keep this rolling don't call us the rolling royals for no reason
I hope during the postseason someone makes the mistake of running on Renfroe. Now all we need is for his bat to get going and we'll have the division. Also even though he's apart of the other team I hope Olsen is ok, don't like seeing anybody getting hurt.
GG Royals
Royals are on a good pace
Glad to hear Denny
Wasn’t this game yesterday?
Is there a Fozzy Bear nickname relation to Wacha Wacha Wacha?
