How the fuck do you get 11 hits in 8 innings but only one run lol
What a catch, and a heck of a way to get a no no. But you gotta think, Souza makes a catch like this, but he dove for a ball he had no chance at lol.
I was at the game and it was crazy, we were right where Steven Souza cought it and therefore jzimm became my favorite player of all time.
Good ecxiting lol
AS a NATS fan, all I see is 11 hits and 1 run
Now is bad with tigers
I can't even imagine how salty Yelich must've been
what.. a play. :-O
At the time, All Star Ballots were physical and if you punched a certain amount, there would be rewards. My family and I made the commitment to punch 15,000 ballots to win 4 free diamond clubs seats. We weren’t sure what game to pick, so we just chose the last day of the season because we thought it would be a fun way to end an awesome season. It was the fifth inning when we noticed, and everyone there was going crazy. Nobody wanted to leave. And it was so cool to be there. Every Nats fan knows where they were when this happened. This is one of the best moments in this team’s history and it was amazing to be able to say I was there.
I was at this game it was so exciting but got boring because there was barely any hits
Dang I’m a Nats fan and I unfortunately don’t remember the last time there were that many fans at a game at Nats Park
I was at this game
No replay of the catch? Really, MLB?
Pause at 11 seconds…. Center fielder's reaction is priceless
Jordan Zimmerman retired
I hope Jordan has a happy retirement. He will always be remembered in DC as a great pitcher, responsible for one of the greatest moments in Nationals history. We will forever remember him as part of our sports family.
One of the most underrated baseball moments ever
I am still bewildered by this play
Give #21 the ball
Anyone here after Bader failed to stop the no-hitter?
Souza just retired came back to this play to remember
Souza just retired. What a catch
11 hits and only 1 run– the stat no one is talking about
It’s kind of sad how quickly he went from a stud star pitcher here in D.C. to an injury-plagued shell of himself after he left here. That’s hiw fleeting an athletes career is, even the studs. But thanks for the memories😉
I'm still going to have to side with Dewayne Wise's catch considering it preserved the perfecto.
GREG GIBSON, THE HOME PLATE UMPIRE
"HE GOT IT!!" 🥰🥰
What a roster. Recognizable guys with recognizable names. I love it. I hate what Rizzo has done to this organization. I hate the composition of the team's current roster.
Funny, was there on the red porch, about 4 rows back, and where Souza caught that ball was the only blind spot from my seats..lol..Was biting my tongue from the 5th inning on, not mentioning that he was working on a no-hitter.
two of probably the most random players of the 2010s lol
