Salvador Perez added another historic night to his legendary career in Game 2 of the doubleheader vs. the Cleveland Guardians, collecting a career-best 6 RBIs to lead the Royals. Salvy clubbed two home runs, matching a pair of franchise records in the process. With the 17th multi-homer game of his career, he has matched George Brett for the most in Royals history, and with his 6th Grand Slam he has matched Frank White for the franchise lead as well. Paul DeJong also got in on the action, driving out his 22nd homer of the year to get the Royals on the board and cutting into a 3-0 Guardians lead, Maikel Garcia and Garrett Hampson would drive in key runs as well during the early comeback. Daniel Lynch IV closed out the game with a three-inning save, earning the first save of his career and securing a doubleheader sweep over the first place Guardians.

  1. Even though I watched both games, I love watching the highlights and ima go ahead and be the first comment! Royals are gonna sweep, take the division and roll into Houston on a roll! Go Royals!!

  2. Cleveland is in first place heading into September, but that stadium is almost EMPTY!!! I don't care what they say the paid attendance is, there is less than 10k in that stadium. Cleveland does not have home field advantage on their own home field. They may not win a single game in this series with that awful hometown support!!

  3. Its a great day to be a Royals fan. Today is picture day for school and im wearing my Bobby Witt Jr. jersey. I love the Royals so much 👑🔛🔝

  4. The Royals are 3-2 so far into their twenty-game stretch of MLB hell. I said at the beginning of this that if they could go 12-8 through this, that they would not only put themselves into a position of winning their division, but also truly solidify their place as a team to fear in the play offs. The Phillies showed us where we need to get to, Cleveland has shown us as to where we have gotten to. Never have I seen; a team come from such a place to such a place in twelve months of baseball. This is fun on such a level as to not able to be appreciated unless you have followed baseball since 1960, like I have. (I was eight but very baseball smart back then heh). What we as baseball/Royals' fans are witnessing is truly a rare event for all of baseball. Feel free to be amazed. This team deserves all of it, no matter the rest of the season. They were forecast to win 66 games this year. Just sayin'

  5. Salvy is a Hall of Famer! If you disagree you haven't watched Royals baseball for over a decade All of his big moments and he has the hardware to back it up.
