The Royals are back in Cleveland and starting the series with a doubleheader to make up for a rain postponement. Cole Ragans took the mound and pitched 4.0 innings, allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, 4 walks, and striking out 4 before exiting the game with a left calf/hamstring cramp. The bullpen took over for the rest of the game, and John Schreiber recorded the win, with Lucas Erceg earning the save. MJ Melendez hit a go-ahead 3-run home run in the 4th inning and had an exceptional diving catch to save a run. Bobby Witt Jr. hit a solo shot of his own in the 8th inning to seal the deal. Salvador Perez recorded a 3-hit day.
