Alec Marsh took the mound for the series finale vs. the Yankees and turned in a terrific outing, striking out 7 batters over 7.0 scoreless innings including 6.0 hit-less innings to start the afternoon. Vinnie Pasquantino provided the Royals their first lead of the game with a two-run double, but the Yankees would strike back late to take the lead. Training by a run with a pair of outs in the 9th inning, Maikel Garcia stepped in and played the role of hero, roping a two-run double down the line to flip the Royals ahead and end the homestand with a walk-off win.

  1. We arent going to be any better if we dont get at least a few guys in the bullpen that wont consistently give up leads. They are maddening, ive never seen a bullpen as worthess as ours

  2. Went to the game last night with my wife and watched us get absolutely washed. Today I went with the wife, my son (his first game)! and his grandparents and could not have been happier with the result. Absolutely wonderful game of baseball this afternoon. LETS GO ROYALS!!

  3. Garcia has been hitting the ball so well, but just right at people over and over and over – for him to just yank one down the line like that (pun intended) was great to see. All those outs, and so much solid contact. He's better than his stats reflect right now.

  4. Let's face it: we knew this was going to be a brutal week with series against the Yankees and Dodgers. The first game of the series was at least close but the last two games were pretty abysmal. It's too bad Marsh couldn't get a win because the bullpen couldn't hold it, but another great comeback win. I'm really like the fight in this Royals team and we are going to need it moving forward against the Dodgers. We just need to hang in there while we play the big boys and hopefully keep learning how to win.

  5. Q getting tossed is the best thing to happen in this series. Got the boys and the crowd going. A real dean portman special from coach. Bring that same energy to the dodger series.

  6. Grat Ballgame! We were in section 139, down 1st baseline, row K, and it was great to watch! I had hoped to see Aaron Judge at least get a hit (I like him as a player: classy and cool), but none for him. Fun to watch the walk-off! Fun to watch them avoid the sweep! Go Royals!!!
