The Royals sent their ace, Cole Ragans, to the mound in the series finale after dropping the first two games of the series. Ragans turned in a solid outing, striking out 6 over 6.0 innings and just giving up 1 run. The Royals trailed by two headed into the bottom of the 9th inning and the offense went to work with Vinnie Pasquantino and Salvador Perez reaching safely before Nelson Velázquez came through with a clutch pinch-hit triple to tie the game. Nick Loftin wasted little time, lifting a fly ball to right field to bring home Nelson and give the Royals a walk-off win over the Padres.

  1. Wowsers! I love my boys in blue, always have since moving to the area in 1969! Sure wish I could watch them without having to pay extra or going to Spectrum . . . crappy way to treat loyal fans. Let's Go Royals!
