Seth Lugo was sent to the mound to put a halt to the Royals losing skid and he responded with a solid outing, recording a quality start allowing just 1 run over 6.0 innings and striking out 5. Trailing by a run in the 3rd inning, the Royals offense would go on to score the final 6 runs of the game. Bobby Witt Jr. tied the game with an RBI single before Salvador Perez doubled Bobby home. Nelson Velázquez provided the big blow with a two-run home run, then was at it again in the 5th inning when he hit a solo blast for his second of the game moments after a Salvador Perez solo homer. Angel Zerpa, Will Smith, and Carlos Hernández tossed scoreless innings to hold on to the lead and give the Royals a win to get back in the series in Minnesota.

Nice bounce-back win. Lugo had another strong performance. Velazquez was on fire. Go Royals
