Looking to secure a sweep, Brady Singer went to the mound and turned in a terrific 6.0 innings, allowing just 1 run while striking out 9. The Royals stormed out the gates with doubles from Maikel Garcia and Bobby Witt Jr. followed by an RBI single from Salvador Perez to go up 2-0. Maikel and Bobby would each drive in a pair of runs in multi-hit performances. Vinnie Pasquantino provided the big blow with a pinch-hit, three-run triple to put the game out of reach and give the Royals a sweep over the Athletics.

Let's go Royals! Take the pennant in Blue October.
The last time you went 29-19, you won the World Series.
Season high 10 games above .500. Keep it going Royals! It's very early, but this team is sort of reminding me of the 2014 team.
Go Royals!!
More aggressive on the bases? Either way TBAPSB
GG Royals
Well done Royals. It is still a long season but playing good baseball
the Royals' Pasquantino was clutch with that 3 RBI triple
I know it's early but I haven't been this excited about the Royals since 15.
ROYALS
Never should of traded Rooker. Glad to see the clubhouse can recognize talent now
This team is too talented to not bring in some real relief pitchers. We need a couple more bulllpen pieces if we’re gonna go deep in the playoffs
