Seth Lugo continued his great stretch of pitching, reaching double-digit strikeouts in a second straight start with 10 over 5.2 innings. Salvador Perez got the Royals on the board in the 1st inning with a two run single before the Athletics tied it in the 2nd. Vinnie Pasquantino and Nelson Velázquez each had RBI knocks to put the Royals back ahead, and Kyle Isbel hit his fourth homer of the season to put the Royals up 5-3. John Schreiber, Angel Zerpa, and James McArthur would not relinquish the lead to give the Royals a second straight win over the A’s and secure a series win with a chance for a sweep.

I have Seth Lugo’s Mets rookie card. I really would love to get it autographed, but I don’t trust sending it in the mail to the Royals. Two years ago I did that with four Royals cards… well three Royals cards & a Red Sox rookie card of Andrew Benintendi, and I NEVER received them back. I don’t want to take a risk on permanently losing my Lugo rookie card, so how would I get it signed? I’m going to the game on Wednesday…. Would he be near the bullpen?
I love that the Royals are still getting no respect. I hope we can fly under the radar until September 20th. Wouldn't that be sweet to eliminate the Guardians about then? Minnesota will be gone before then. Just to get to the playoffs will be such a positive swing. How many teams have come that far in a year? Get behind this team or look like a chaser.
